we had problems with low quality cast studs stretching, but we tracked down some proper rolled jobbies and they were sound, locktite and heat doesn't really do much!

forgetting to tighten the bolts up on my friends 106 gti was a good one! i hope they're better these days!
remove the undertray and grab the lower aux belt idler pulley and try and wobble it
book time to CHANGE the aux belt is 2.2-2.5hrs (they're harder than you think)
waterpump is estimate approx + 1hrs on top (fiddly fucker if the male torx bolt heads round off)
