    Devastated

From the thread title I was expecting to hear a family member had died or was suffering a terminal illness. I'm not sure i'd be 'devastated' about some damage on a 10 year old clio tbh. Pissed off probably.

    Picked up my Clio today!

Good to meet you at last mate. With all the niggles sorted, you now have one of the best ph2 172's I've had. If not THE best. Been a pampered car for sure.

Paint correction, worth paying for or DIYing?

@Knuckles is your man. He's cheap and good. Sadly, he looks like shaggy from scooby doo.

Paint correction, worth paying for or DIYing?

That's why I suggested a DA. The only way you'll damage the paint with a DA is if you throw it at the car.

Paint correction, worth paying for or DIYing?

Get a local member on here, a hobbyist, to do it in their spare time. Will cost a fraction of the price. Being honest, only the most OCD people, or even the incredibly well off people, will want/need a £700 correction. A day spent with a DA and some quality polishes will have it looking 100...

    Skoda splitter on rear bumper

Back in the day, people with Novas used to nail Seat Cordoba splitters to their rear bumpers. This tells you the type of people that carry out such modifications.

    My winter chariot.

That one I cleaned just had both replaced at LR, £5,800 all in. Only done 70k with full LR history. After a lot of arguing he got it down to £5,400. Piss take really. It's obviously a weak part of the car.
