The problem here is Alacantara is akin to Suede, ie there is fook all you can safely put on it! have a look at the cleaning instructions on there site before you try anything.

Not used a real chamois for years now, still use the Autoglym fake ones on wheels amd arches, as wheel as under the bonnet etc. Treat them the same as I did for real ones when it comes to cleaning when grubby just wash in some car shampoo rinse and hang up to dry. The fake ones I stick back...

Gave up using it a few years ago after they reformulated and it was going patchy on my old 205 GTi's seats. Previous to that it used to be really good, they may have resolved there issues now, but that aside it never left the apperance of the leather unchanged, it always added gloss etc to it...

Ouch dont sound healthy. The leather my clean off with some Megauirs all purpose cleaner or leather cleaner, you could even maybe try Autoglym Tar and Adhesive remover. The Alcantara though, that will be the biatch. http://www.alcantara.com/ Cleaning guide PDF on here.

Weekly wipe down with a damp microfiber. Clean & Condition with Einzett 1Z Leather Care once every couple of months, and then condition after every second time wit Zaino Z10 leather conditoner. Neither leave it greasy or oily like the Autoglym stuff, just left clean and fresh with a natural...

Got some Blue Perls last night - thanks to Mr Butter Brazo, and they do seem very good quality - They do seem to be softer than the normal Pakshaks. But like Mark said not very plush so really a polish removal cloth.

Polish away, paint is baked so ready to polish from the factory. They all seem to be shockingly bad when let out the factory, and of course being black everything shows up.
