i've driven a few dodgy 182's and it seemed to be related to the exhaust everytime, it had no "5k kick" either sounds daft, but i had a 182 in once that could only hit 85mph on the test run, where normal 182's would hit 95-100mph comp test was fine, injectors ok, checked everything then...
