Polishes vary in how abbrassive they are, some are super has ,some very mild. No worries with Super Resin it is *very very* mild, no detetectable removal in clearcoat thickness when used by hand according to Brazo's trusty paint depth gauge.

I could see metal/primer on an edge of the rear quarter! Will see if I have a pic at home.

I went an emptied the boot of all the stuff I used on the 205 yesterday and decided it was a stay in day.

Looks like it would require enough planning un hungover!

As temp fix, some touch up paint, a wet sand and a machine polish should do the trick. Unless he is planning the chips away type repair route to fix it then, just stick something on there to stop it rusting in the mean time.

Sounds like one that would work well by PC and finishing pad like Meguiars 16 then.

That would be needed Brazo, though in some places you dont even need it! Not in the NW unfortunatly, live in Gloucestershire, for a machine polish on a small hatchback approx £50.

Cheers Mark, you may get a Pm soon, as it could do with a rotary in a few trouble spots. But in the same token, the paint is mighty thin in places. I put some tape on the rear quater where I didnt want to touch it even with the PC.

As many as you want! Only polish when you have scratches, blemishes or marks you want to remove, or want to strip of old wax and start again.

After the pain I had getting it off my old one, by hand I didnt want to risk it by machine! Took as long to mask up as it did to polish!
