Polishes vary in how abbrassive they are, some are super has ,some very mild. No worries with Super Resin it is *very very* mild, no detetectable removal in clearcoat thickness when used by hand according to Brazo's trusty paint depth gauge.
As temp fix, some touch up paint, a wet sand and a machine polish should do the trick. Unless he is planning the chips away type repair route to fix it then, just stick something on there to stop it rusting in the mean time.
That would be needed Brazo, though in some places you dont even need it!
Not in the NW unfortunatly, live in Gloucestershire, for a machine polish on a small hatchback approx £50.
Cheers Mark, you may get a Pm soon, as it could do with a rotary in a few trouble spots. But in the same token, the paint is mighty thin in places. I put some tape on the rear quater where I didnt want to touch it even with the PC.
