    and £2K spare for the welder, i've used cheap TIG welders before (£1K-£1.5K) and they're ok, but you need to spend the money (reliability is an issue) i use a Lincon Electric Invertec205, awesome

    jon i've always said i don't like the OMEX in the engine bay (even from when we did the first 600 ever, back when Andy was envolved)

    an engine bay isn't a nice environment! water, steam, oil heat etc etc as said previously, a £1K piece of kit sat in the engine bay isn't the best idea IMO look at the clio cup racers, the ecus on them are under the dash

    i'm with Mark on this, granted OMEX say its fine sticking it in the engine bay, but i never would its a bit like using a hair dryer whilst sitting in the bath IMO!

    both inlet and exhaust cams have vvt on the 197 the inlet manifold on the 197 is claimed to give 5% positive pressure, not sure how that works! different exhaust manifold with 2 small sport cats there's some other stuff also, i'll try and find out

    7hour job why do you need one? standard clutch is fine (as long as you don't do standing starts) upto just over 200bhp

    1mm NGK PFR6E-10 (the 10 mean they're preset to 1mm) i prefer the super plat to the normal ones

    give me a ring mate, depends what you want i was purley making the point that they're one of if not the largest cam manufacturer in the world, with the history and prestige to boot you're a fussy bugger edde! LOL

    have a look on the Schrick website for their history http://www.drschrick.de/?control_id=101 (yes they do make most of the parts of the Bugatti Veyron Engine! and they do a lot of cams for the F1 boys)
