I don't find them fun on the roads anymore. There's too much traffic, too many cameras, too many potholes....etc etc. I'd rather be driving a barge with an Auto box.
As soon as I get it on track though, I fall in love all over again. So easy to drive fast, really adjustable on the throttle...
If you change to 195/50/15, your tyres will be cheaper, meaning you can afford better ones, not some mickeywing-wongs which offer the grip of an oiled fish on ice.
195/50's fit perfectly fine and will make NO difference to the look of your car or the ride.
Sorry mate, have to agree to disagree with you on that one. Laguna II, even in cabasse form was average at best.
Audi, VW, Ford etc all fit vastly superior audio.
My Y reg Audi A6 (With its basic factory fit CD player!) is light years ahead than anything Renault/Pug/citroen have to offer.
Its only an additional £150.
How sick would you feel after paying out £500 for all the belts for the dephaser to start rattling its tits off in three months time.
I can't speak for other brands, but I've had an Alpine head unit with the correct leads, meaning the display still worked and the steering wheel controls still worked.
My wash mitt gets run under a hot tap until all the soap is out and then left on the side in the kitchen until its bone dry. Then gets putin the bucket in the shed.
If you leave them damp in the garage they start to smell musty and I can't stomach that smell, hence my need to keep it bone dry...
It is mate! Needs minor TLC but nothing like the other heap.
I'm going to fit the new lights tomorrow as the current ones are rusty and dull and if I've got chance, (if there's enough light!) do the Cambelt and water pump just for peace of mind.
Next week I'll send it to the body shop to get...
If you're turning the key and there's no response, not even turning over, I'd try a new battery.
Tdc sensor, immob faults etc will still allow the car to be cranked over.
The thing is, by putting it up at £4200, you are missing a large chunk of audience. The ones that search Upto £4k.
It's only a £200 reduction but if that means the difference between it taking 4 months to sell or 4 weeks, then IMO, its got to be done,
Get a new boot carpet, yours is minging (£10)
Fit the engine cover.
Take the private plate off it so its ready to go.
Reduce it to £3999. (For when people search upto £4000)
Put it on Pistonheads/Autotrader if you haven't already, ebay is the devil.
(The car looks AMAZING by the way...
They did yes. On pre 1990 cars, they were grey background with black LCD, on 1990 cars they were a black background with illuminated green display.
And also, on the indicator display on the dashboard, the arrows that light up when you indicate were solid green until 1989. 1989 onwards they...
I nearly rang you!!
This guy came out to meet me (Single, lived in a minging flat and had teeth missing) and asked me inside and shut the door, it was pitch black and I've got to be honest, for the first time in years, I nearly panicked! Thought he was going to bum me, or worse, steal my...
If the budget was more, i'd be suggesting an Exige, but i'd rather have a VX Turbo than an Elise if I had £10k to spend.
The thing is for me, an elise (Imo) is perfect for track days and the likes, where the purpose of driving IS driving... but on a fast commute home on a saturday night, most...
