Re: Light Correction Detail - RenaultSport Clio 200 Silverstone Number 50/50 - Hard B
The dealer doesn't take the car back, the finance company does. 99% of the time it ends up in auction anyway.
Stone chips are wear and tear and not classed as damage. As long as the car's not damaged...
Re: Light Correction Detail - RenaultSport Clio 200 Silverstone Number 50/50 - Hard B
Your Mrs gives me insta-wood.
I love that car, its bloody lovely.
Unless you were a good mechanic/breaker, this car is financial suicide imo.
But if you have the know how to repair or whack another engine in it, it would be a great (cheap!) car for you.
Trust me mate, this was no blocked cat! lol.
The breaker no-show'd. I told my mate he was mental and should have taken £1500. He rang the breaker, he said he'd be round with the cash.... Never turned up. Same old ebay tbh.
It sold for £1151 iirc.
He seems happy, he just wants the space on...
It needs cambelt/tyres/discs/pads..... ?!
I hope it was cheap!
Recaro's xenons and Silver wheels are full of win though. Shame you have to spend £1k on it however.
I'm not sure why or how you did it, but you managed to buy a semi decent car and the for the sake of 'doing something different' you've managed to make it look like something that's been pulled out of the canal.
Why not just leave it alone? It looked fine as it was.
If you are going to detail it, have you done the engine bay? Degreased all the door shuts? Removed the wheels and done all the arches? What about the interior, are you going to wet or dry shampoo the carpets and seats?
Or are you just looking to wash and polish your car?
The word 'detailing' is so overused it's unreal.
Of the 1000 threads in on here of people claiming to have 'detailed' their car, i'm willing to bet less than 5% have been detailed.
There is a world of difference between detailing and cleaning your car really good.
Burpspeed had this issue (iirc)
Get some wire wool and get the paint out of the bolt holes. Where the wheel touches the collar on the wheel bolts if you get me.
Re: MK1 F4R track car project
I'm not worried about any of that, I just want to get it MOT worthy. Ish.
I have however just found out (within the last 2 minutes!) that I have a nearly complete 172 at my disposal.
So you have given me some proper good inspiriation and ideas! I'm going to do...
Re: MK1 F4R track car project
Fcuk knows, Chip fitted it, mainly because I want to Turbo it next year and standalone proved cheaper and easier (LOL, not so far!) than standard.
CHIIIPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: MK1 F4R track car project
That's exactly what I want to do, but I don't have a 172 ECU, i've got a Mtec.
Will this matter?? lol.
(I really wish i'd thought about this before I re-shelled it!)
I love this car.
My mates Aston lives in a car coon and when he went to australia for 14 months, upon his return, the Aston was mint. Not a single spec of dust on it.
They are a brilliant invention and a must for someone storing a car properly.
