Yes mate I've been about since 2004 ish and was active on williamsclio forums back then. Still got a couple of mk1's and the phase 1 172 and a 182 as well that I daily. Never grown up tbh, lmao
Update, got bored of rear beam idea and gave up for now, so cars back together. Mallory Park booked mid May so I'll revisit after that.
Fitted superleggera with R888's and new red themed sabelt wheel and she's ready for exhaust tweak and MOT soon.
Good times, be nice to drive a mk1 again...
No, every man and his dog are banging bloody k20's into everything. If you must go Honda at least man up with the k24. But ideally for me it wants a Renault derived v6 on bodies
Mega bling that would be, not seen fully polished willy's since Winston's old black valver back in the day.
I do have a spare set in the attic though that need refurb......
ABS rings replaced today, and rehung exhaust correctly. So tax will go live Monday and she's good to go for the spring. Mint
Oh replaced the zip ties for new stainless abs wiring brackets too but forgot to take any pics
whaaaaaat, your going to build this up knowing every man and his dog will want a passenger ride, then in a cruel game of 'fcuk you fcukers' only put one seat in it?
Glad you're not though mate, see too many track car projects get cancelled and owners chuck the towel in when complex wiring and digital dashboards are involved. They seem a f**k load of hassle for next to nothing to me but fair play going for it and even fairer play seeing it through!
I just scraped it all off with a Costa Coffee card then chucked it in the sink with the pots when I did them and used the scouring sponge to get rest off. Initial bit with the Costa card had to be pretty brutal as the backing was stuck fast
Another minor update, car keeps on trucking
had abs issue that was combination of SAS and ABS plug to rear sensor, so after lots of mucking about sorted that
completed another winter so will back on summer wheels soon
rust has got worse, will update with pics this week, might even wash...
Prepping for MOT tomorrow and more old phase 1 gremlins rear their head, nothing major other than rarity and as such, cost....... sigh
luckily had a spare in shed from the breaker.... But now I'm worried that's just going to snap now too. Boo hiss. I'm going to look into replacing the rubber on...
definitely best approach mate as discussed, risk of loosing faith and burning out with the hours you were putting in on the car
come back fresh later in the year :)
Nice simple little job ticked off the list, sun visors removed, took old stickers off and cleaned them up.
Then refitted a new sticker kit from Renault.
I'm really enjoying having the car at the point where I can just tinker with these little fun jobs and enjoy the thing.
Cheers
Ben
