i'd buy the one off adam fella, i wouldn't buy something like a steering rack from a breaker in all honnesty you can change it with the subframe still on, but i would drop the back of it down slightly for better access (or even just remove the entire subframe)

its quite normal for 182's to have a slight blow nearly every 182 i've seen has a slight blow between manifold and CAT

it doesn't seem to effect 172 for some odd reason, its only been noticable on 182's still no car should have a blowing exhaust black soot around joins = blow

FK's if you want just low (£600ish fitted approx) H&R's if you want performance and looks (budget £1K all in)

yeah if you've got hissing you have a leak, its best to do it in the morning when the car is stone cold as you'll see water dripping from the leak

listen for hissing, you have to push relativley hard

erm stick yer head under the car with the engine running and get a mate to put his hands over the tailpipes

check if the CAT to centre section is blowing, this has a dramatic effect on performance (more than a usual blowing exhaust)

back to black is the only long lasting stuff i've found, you have to spary a few coats on and leave it to dry for a few hours, but it lasts AGES

5W40 fully synthetic (any make) is all you need i personally run 10W40 semi in mine

very good tyre for track, but you have to get the pressures right, we run around 30psi all round on them

all you need is an engine conversion, just say when mate ;)
