I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but i'd have sacked it off first time round. You only paid £1250 for it so even with a fubar'd engine you'd have got £500 for it on ebay.
But nevermind, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. :D
I used a razor blade bare (no actual handle or owt) and just scraped the seat. A stanley blade will also do but make sure whatever you use is brand new!
Scrape in short motions and gather up all the fluff.
Works a treat!
Mine never EVER went above 28mpg. (Maybe 28.8 but that was it)
Admitedly mine was brand new and I sold it with 4000 miles on it so it wasn't 'run in' but still, bad mpg's.
What is your reason for wanting a Zetec coil pack?
I'm not up on ECU's so may be speaking out of turn but I sell a lot of renaults and a lot of fords and the fords are infinately worse with regards to coilpack reliability! lol.
As soon as my kids are a bit bigger, i'll be getting another. Fantastic cars imo.
Great on track, cheap to run, built well (for a renault) and good spec.
The only downside is the fuel. Its terrible for a warm hatch. If it was 230hp 2.0T I could understand it. As a family car though it will...
How is this thread any different to any of the other project threads you've made?
Or any of the other marque threads you've started about what car you're getting next?
Or any other thread that you've started for that matter?
''Giving it more air'' is not going to happen.
Its a 1.2 mass produced engine so will suck in all the air it needs. You won't be able to give it any more than it already gets.
According to facebok he's just split up with his Mrs so that along with a brand new car thats shat its engine out, I expect he is now sat in a pub somewhere! lol.
Why are you trying to argue with me when all you're doing is agreeing with me?
All of what you just wrote is correct, so why complain about insurance when you are the very person that you are writing about?!
Sounds to me like you had a cable opperated throttle before and now you have an electronically controlled one.
It was a common complaint when I worked at renault and people came out of mk2 meganes and scenics and into the new shape ones.
Basically, you need to adjust your driving style and...
I think thats my issue. You haven't actually done anything different to break any moulds.
You've just done a load of cheap mods that have been around for years.
