Diff float will cause excess heat which will lead to the oil changing colour and darkening so that was probably the issue. The welded clip will do nothing to sort the play in the diff and fact it popped again and took the welds with it means those diff bearings are proper fucked
Slicks fitted to freshly powercoated track wheels
Two weeks to Caldwell and ready I think. Had tracking done and tweaked exhaust fitment too
Cheers

Concentrate on the house move matey, the car will work, it's basically done. I think a diffuser may sway my opinion on the rear end aswell so I vote do it!
And get those wheels sorted, disgraceful ??
yeah he's top bloke, has been in the Renault scene for years, its just his mk2 rep that's on the up and up now.#
As said the map on my track one is cracking and peak power for a stock internally engine is mega :-)
@Rbdezlee your car does look lovely too, more motivation for me to sort my shed out
AI the SMS RS2 Inlet makes huge difference, give up a little peak torque for peak power but works well. Not sure I'd bother on a road car though. My track car runs 212bhp/159lbft on the RS2
@Rbdezlee my RB belts were done by Mick at Diamond and it ran 170bhp/147lbft at Surry rolling road on...
wowsers how did I miss this thread! and my car's old loom is in it as well. I was cursing Danny when I bought his shell with no wiring in it! lol!
I presume the thing hasn't seen the road yet, the trials and tribulations of mk1 F4R conversions!
Good luck @Daniel and hope to see it out soon...
Pretty sure there's a few 200+ 172's and there was a trophy over 180k good few years back but don't think in daily duties anymore. Straight 182's don't know of any higher currently but ready to be proven wrong
No reason to not use it either, everything seems fine , no warning lights and just...
Nothing new to report at the mo, still cranking the daily duties. Just down in Welwyn Garden City for work and clocked 192 mark and still returned 44mpg on the trip computer (real world calculated is about 6 lower ish)
On the fence at the mo, the rear arch needs work but is it worth it........
21-02-2019 Boot badge refurb
Refurbished the badges on my boot strip, over time they turn white and eventually wear away the lettering completely.
15 quid sticker kit from Ebay and good as new. The kit itself is superb, fitment perfect, finish perfect and hopefully longevity will match, time...
My alpine is w**k for normal aerial tbh, parrot in it works great though and I've stuck mic up drivers a pillar too although going to move it go centre roof area by map/interior light as every time I put visor to side I knock the thing off, lol
