I use Michelin ps3 currently for my road car, work great in wet and dry. some seem to not get on with them but I find them perhaps slightly better in the dry than the rainsport 3's I ran previously but slightly worse in the wet
my track car I use full slicks for dry weather and the michelin ps3...
its borderline imo, love my 182 on my 15" Williams wheels, but I just think they are slightly too small for it. the cost isn't so much an issue really for me as as mentioned I just trade in used stuff and look out for a bargain. although 15" stuff is more freely available and I do stick to that...
yeah I love mine on the stock wheels, 16" suit the phase 2 1*2's much more imo. Look a tad under-wheeled on 15's no matter how low you go
plus the wheels themselves can be had cheap with tyres on, so just sell old set on and buy another used set with better tyres each time when they crop up, lol!
I haven't personally but spoke to a chap with a mk1 golf with a 350bhp VXR engine in it and he ran slicks up front and R888 GG's on rear as he was worried about not getting slicks up to temp, he liked the balance like that for his application
personally I've never had a n issue with lively back...
mine were awful the first time and the 3M was piece of piss to use, half hour a side running down the paper grades and done
as said now all I do is use the soft pad from the same kit with some scratch X compound once a year and keeps them decent enough
yeah I've used the 3M one, same idea using the drill. works well and since using the sandpaper stages all I have to do now is buff once a year with the cutting compound and seal them inbetween
