05-02-2018 - Strip Down
So after Bedford decided it was time to tackle the exhaust again, so fit the 182 manifold and also purchase a quieter system to connect to it
As such plan was to rip the front end of the car apart, remove the brakes and bodged up front brake lines and clean up the inner...
29-01-2018 - Bedford
Went to Bedford for the first one of the year, had a terrible day in all honesty! Blew 97db static and spent all day on part throttle due to setting off the 4 mics trackside. 87db drive by limit is just madness, too quiet!
I'll admit the car has got louder, swear it blew...
I'd be getting the flywheel off and doing the crank main seal and new flywheel bolts, maybe even skim the clutch mating face too. Also if subframes off the sump gasket (if there is any perceptible leaks).
and chuck a cheeky set of ARP rod bolts in there whilst your at it, never know if the...
It's not comparable between cars really as it's adjustable by its nature.
Just wind it on and eyeball the tracking, should be able get it close enough to drive few miles to a garage for tracking
i'm on the fence with this too, i feel it'll be a disappointment in my car due to the whole power thing
and its a lot of cash, could do Cadwell 3 times for the same price and that's a superb track for the clios
but its Silverstone, iconic, so i think i will have to do it at some point
my favorite old retro one is my JVC Chameleon, sits flush when off and motorized to show the buttons
can set it to stealth too so the buttons are hidden when in use until touch one and the rest pop out
however it doesn't do DAB or Bluetooth or USB or AUX in or any of that.....so its...
the stud kit makes swapping them easy as well, both front and rear axles on my car can take upto a 15mm spacer with the ET36 wheels i use and clear the arches....just at the front easily at the rear. but with the studs chopping and changing is simple
I would say they're okay, I personally run 15mm rear and 10mm front slip on spacers (hubcentric on the rear, the 10mm fronts are flat) and I run a stud conversion all round
i don't have any issues using them and the car is primarily a track car i run on slicks with a diff etc etc.
i haven't...
great looking car, dealer plates still on it etc from the looks, guessing its completely bone stock?
wide investment to leave as is and run/maintain it. appreciating classics now and that looks a good example! nice buy!
Have you driven it on track yet? Personally I wouldn't change it for the sake of changing it. Try it as is and put the 100 quid or whatever into your coilover fund imo
Randomly booked Bedford for Monday, cars sat since September after Mallory
It's been started few times but that's about it, plan is stick some new pads on the back and change back to road wheels Sunday morning, tax it and go for a test drive. If alls well, load her up and head down to the...
