I would bother with brakes unless they fail to scrub off, I'm using a car currently that had been sat for 3 years nearly, brakes are fine. just be sensible about it, if they don't stop you, grind a lot or vibrate then yes change them. but don't just chuck money at it for no reason imo.

ai, just drop the back a little bit more, not much, a bit of nose down stance is good imo :)

1/4 mile is dull if your there to race other cars, soon as you get the bug and start chasing 60ft's and trap speeds and pushing decent times against your own performance, that's when its get fun :)

the clio 172/182 lump is the F4R the mark 1 engines are F7P or F7R (1.8 16v and 2.0 16v Williams, respectively) and yes, much easier as just plug the loom from the F7 series engine straight in and internal wires don't need to be touched, provided I would guess you use a phase 2 loom and phase 1...

I'd say after every track day is excessive, however once a season is what I tend to do, so winter time job :)

bugger of a job to splice the looms to get the mk1 clocks working on the mk2 sport engine loom. and you have to decode the ecu for immobiliser. check my trakc car project thread in the projects section though, I'm doing it the other way and transferring an complete 172 wiring and running gear...

all I'd being to that is a full pro paint correction, perhaps refurb the wheels if the need it, fully clean and seal underneath and get it valet'd the new steering wheel from Renault and enjoy, sparingly :) great purchase!

12.3@117 for me with boost on r888's never taken anything else up the strip, standard Williams does around 14.5-15 seconds, valver around 15.5-16 seconds. not really up on the mk2's

vibratechnics for track car perhaps, but on the daily sack that right off imo

oh and powerflex for the dogbone works well, just bosh the old bushes out the a hammer and the new ones slot straight in, easy as pie. 2 bolts to remove and refit it

if the cars a phase 2 it'll be a twisted dogbone and its the cheapest and simplest thing to swap to check if the issues clear. if it doesn't then the top gearbox mount under the battery tray or the top engine mount on the cam belt side could be shagged too

I'm on 10mm rear, 15mm front and standard camber. About to fit cup Turinis and sportlines, so I'll let you know how I get on. Same setup but cooksports and Williams wheels the rears scrubbed a bit when car was laden or undulating road surface. But the Willy wheels were lower offset so hoping...

I use mine daily, 12 mile each way commute, I can pick to either trundle down an a-road or add 3 miles for the 'scenic' route (read thrash it round some awesome back lanes) never mind worrying if the car can do the mileage, the 182 was built for exactly this kind of commute, its not mega comfy...
