I just use my ipod on the drive to and from track, damn things so noisey anyway you cant hear crap at low volumes and high ones as you say it distorts to hell.
I press the recirc button to help keep the windows demisted in the winter without having to have the full bore fans/demist setting on and it works a treat
however after about 5 minutes it auto offs and I have to press the button again??
is this normal and if so why the hell would it be? lol!!!
Quick pop to Renault at Mansfield today as I found a warranty recall letter in some old post from last year.
Bonnet catch now replaced for nowt and they gave the car a quick wipe over with a rag for me too, bonus :)
Clocked it today when I popped in as my car was getting bonnet catch done at Renault round the corner.
Loads of carbon, Trophy Recaros and looked very clean. just not keen on the wheels and mudflaps.
rofl, that's no plant pot that's a TD pro race 1 ;) and no its not holding the car, its the backup for the axle stands under the chassis rails that you can't see in the pic.
not a stripe fan either I'm afraid, I still need to rip the white decals off the wheels too, too fussy imo
Right, not been update for a while as the cars just been grinding me back and forth to work over the winter, I hadn't washed it in months and it was looking sorry for itself.
Not to mention the belt squeal in the mornings was starting to annoy me and I wanted to sort the alternator wiring that...
its a mk1 mate and only have a pic of it with no dash but basically the clocks are tied to the bar you can see and I've got a poverty 1.2 dash top from a mk1 clio strapped to the top of it.
its the link to the blown truck engine that's epic

pro race 1.2 = 6.2kg
pro race 1 = 6.1kg
Williams speedling = 7.2kg
oz superleg = 4.9kg
that's all in 15" 7 J flavour, I unfortunately haven't weighed an F1, last set I had I sold as quick as I bought them so didn't get chance to weigh.
I have a bar welded across the rollcage at the front, all the bits I need mount to that inc steering column etc and then I have a pov spec top dash cable tied to the top of it in 'normal' position to stop glare.
that's it, the wiring loom etc is also all cable tied to parts of the bulkhead and...
old cars will leak oil, if its not puddling underneath or gulping a litre through the rings/stem seals every 200 miles I wouldn't worry
there is no 'cam cover' as such on the F4R, its an all in one piece that has the cam journals on it as well so yes to reseal it you have to pretty much...
they work well for just being solid top mounts, the geo changes achievable with them however are minimal
camber bolts or slot the bottom suspension holes will get camber more easily
just about to clock 121k here, full history and oil changes every 6k since I've owned it. about to do the aux belt this weekend and then it'll be good till cambelts due late next year :)
same thing happened to mk1 scene few years back, tight Renault 'enthusiasts' wouldn't pay a penny for anything so people started breaking for spares as they were coming up so cheap
now there are hardly any mk1's left
not that I'm complaining, I'm one of said tight arses, and car killers!lol...
