    I got mine for £3700, one owner (although it needed belts) even so still a bargain as its only got 47k on!

    £3500 should get you a minter if its a Ph1 mind and make sure all the belts have been done this is a major haggling point if it hasnt!

    Well you have got to step back and look at the ever rising costs of fuel as this is a big part of performance car ownership... I dont think id fancy owning two cars (or at least MOT'ing servicing and insuring two cars) Still everyones circumstances are different, RS ftw

    More toys? Like what? Xenon headlights arent toys, and seats are seats. As far as im concerned there comfortable to sit on for 3-400 miles at a time. The Ph1 isnt a stripped out drag car its a car designed for people wanting that extra oomph were it permits...

    Agreed, phase one for the winner, looks the danglies as it stands... Disagree with putting Ph2 bumpers and things on (not saying i dont like it, just not my cuppa) Ph1 for me everytime!

    Ah right so its the same colour as that Ph2 colour if its iceberg? Nah its defo Titanium then, thank christ, wasnt sure for a minute! I dont like when people butcher the Ph1 with the Ph2 bumper, think it takes the Ph1 look away. I dont see why people just buy a Ph2 in the first instance:o

    I suppose the 197 will be a bit more friendly on the wallet insurance wise, again economy isnt a million miles away. For the sake of depreciation (not that anything with renault on it keeps it) id buy a 197 for re-sale value. Personally for the money id spend the ten grand on a Focus RS...
