New willy wheels and janspeed fitted recently.
exhaust fit to the bumper pics first, Coops mod to get it to sit proudm, can just read the janspeed branding :)
Right, bit more progress today
bought some new clamps for the janspeed and fettled with the rear mounts again. its still banging on something at the rear when I reverse but otherwise I think I've cracked it
bit more tinkering and I may be able to keep the fit on the rear bumper without any...
if you read back a bit its due to costing a lot for little gain, a grand can be better spent elsewhere I think is the feeling?!
corking car chap btw :)
cheers for the advice folks, I think I may give some a try
Dave, I've used EBC before in all 3 flavours in the turbo, dust is as you say more than manageable but I've never got on with the pads tbh
its not so much the amount of dust as the consistency of it, basically the RC pads are just metal filings that come off the pad and weld themselves to the wheel, literally cannot get them off and the wheel turns rust coloured, nom nom. I wont be happy if something similar happens to the willy...
Considering some new pads for the 182, however I am a bit of a tart with my wheels and I don't want to shag them with un-cleanable dust
are the DS2500 manageable in terms of dust? the RC6 I have on the mk1 have basically eaten my superleggera's and I don't want a repeat performance on the...
usual 195/50 R15 fit I always use chap, a bit chunky for some but I'm not a 45 profile fan on 15" wheels, look like ribbons imo. its possible the spacers are a bit much with the et37 wheels rather than stock et43
I may have to put the car back on coilovers however to get it sat right
no one's that bothered about mark 1's as they don't own them and probably never will. they are no longer a viable option really as so few left.
if I was 17 and had a 1.2 mark 2 i'd be trolling the 172/182 thread as well as logically it would be the car I was aiming to buy next to mod so I...
had to fettle about with the exhaust to get it to stop banging, and its still not perfect.
i'm determined to keep it sticking out slightly on the bumper though, I cant stand the flush fit look.
so far I have adjusted the rear mounts back as far as they will go and checked clearance over...
not today but yesterday I fitted janspeed exhaust with coops mod to get the tailpipes to sit proud of the bumper. fitted Williams wheels wrapped in Michelin tyres with tpi bolts all round and fitted colour coded (to wheels) bullets
I have 2 currently but sometimes it swells to more :)
182 RB FF for the daily and MK1 turbo track car, so there's a bit of difference between them!lol!
