Re: Purple Haze 200.
looking meticulously clean as ever chap, i would love to spend time making my car shiny, pretty much spend most of the time fitting new gearboxes to it however :)
dragged the bumper to couple of bodyshops, looking at couple of ton to get it sorted so its going to wait till next year, i dug out the touch up pen from the boot and just slapped some paint on it to cover the marks, it aint pretty but looks okay from a distance and better than the black platic...
Another little update
whipped the bumper off and found a few things, bit of rust on cross member where the bumper has rubbed. putting this down to the fact the bottom bumper brace to the subframe is missing so bumper can flap about a bit at high speed.
also ripped off the old skoda...
tried a search but too many hits :(
whats the deal with arch liners, are they all the same for the sports? or are the phase 1 and phase 2 different, are the 172 and 182 different?
ones i'm on about specifically are the front ones that connect to the bumper, but full rundown on the rest...

thanks
Ben

I will post up as soon as they get back to me, as said this is only for the outer drop link bushes, but looking at how worn they are compared to the pivot bushes and inner bushes, I think the others should last about 20 cycles of drop link bush failures!lol!
yes remove, yes that's the sequence, also need to undo pinch bolt or 2x bolts holding lower ball joint to wishbone/hub
rubbers should be fine and press them out. then just weld round the outer edge, ensure you don't warp them too badly or bushes will be a pain to get back in
I would guess...
Just bought a slightly tired whiteline arb and the outer bushes are a bit worse for wear
plan is to freshen it up with some powdercoat and new outer bushes before fitting, question is, where can I get new bushes for it?
did a quick forum then google search but not turned up much, any...
welcome, love the old rolla, proper bit of kit and if it was me i'd be saving for the 86 but keeping the old skool as well ;)
hope you enjoy the clio, I think I have the same washer jet issue incoming on my 182 that's awaiting the road come November, been avoiding it and hoping I can fix it...
