I bought my first 172 about 7 or so years ago now and the first weekend I had it I did a track day and was really impressed! So was everyone on the track day too! Mine was 100% standard too.

Rob, you still got the advisory from the MOT I did on it? I'mm 99% sure on the advisory notice there was wear in the wishbone bushes on the passenger side. Have a look at the paperwork. If it is, try that first to save wasting money on replacing other stuff.

AG Tar remover is terrible. I used to use it when I was a valeter (And too dumb to realise there were other brands out there!) Autosmart Tardis is a lot better. TBH, the best stuff I have ever used is thinners! lol. Its wipe on/wipe off!
