hi, the last two mornings i've found the fuel/trip computer has reset itself and all the readings are at zero. it only does it when its been stood for a good few hours. i definately havent accidentally pressed the reset. has anyone else had this problem or know what causes it??

hi, its just occured to me (doing my cam belt thursday clio 172 ph1)
the plastic bungs for the end of the camshafts that you need to remove to insert the locking tool. are they re-usable or do i need new ones???

ok, my 172 ph1 has two lambda probes, the downstream (of the cat) one, i take it operates the fume lamp. does it do anything else?

r19 16v keep trying to cut out on roundabouts or sharp corners, its my mates car,
checked:
tank & stack -ok
fuel pump and connections -ok
fuel filter and lines -ok
throttle position sensor wiring was burnt, replaced sensor and wiring
all other electrics appear fine

carried on from the other thread, we want to test exchange ecus and chip software upgrades,
so far BBPT and superchips are willing to put their units up for test on cars with only exhaust and filter mods. anyone else up for this? im gonna try to get in touch with r sport and maybe fastchip...
hi, quick question, the f4r engine, are the cam followers shimmed or hydrolic?
mine seem to rattle a bit on overrun!
im sure its not an ancillary, the only other thing it could be is the timing belt tensioner bearing orn guide pulley bearing

what was everyones times for today?
my best 14.86 @ 92.36 mph standardish 172 full fat (nothing taken out, not even spare wheel) k&n relocated and foglamp air feed, scorpion cat back and a mildly played with inlet manifold.
would be intersted to know the times for other standard 172s...
