yeah go for that. will be a mission to change the cable as your have to take it out from behind the dash. So would only consider doing that when you get an amp, as your be pushing more power down the cable then, so will need the better cable. Good luck mate

You select the trip screen on the dash by pressing the scroll button on the stalk, then push in the button thats between the speedo dials. Should do it. Havent done it on my new one yet, but thats how you do it on the 2003 model and it looks the same to me.

I got a 2003 set straight from renault when i got my car, and the shape looks identical to me mate. However mine have clio on them and are a different colour, so they may not be origianls, but as i said shape looks pretty much identical.
