Been wondering about this for a while. If i have a standard car of lets say 120bhp and i mod it up to 160bhp, will it be faster than a car that has 160bhp standard? The mod would not include a turbo, just stuff like cams, ecu and exhaust? Surely the modded 160bhp will be faster? Or is it?
I would have the 306. Been in a slightly modded one and they are fast. Plus every time yu change gear your be loving the six speed box. Or the VTS. Personally dont think they have a bad image. Just the VTR has a chav image. Very rarely see VTSs, and because of this rareness i think they have not...
I to have a 1.6 16v Clio and have no problems with vtrs. But have yet to battle a VTS. But at the end of the day, whoever owns either car is going to say there better. Is one of those never ending arguments. In as real life situation the driver is going to play one of the biggest influences. If...
You guys must have rubbish 1.2 16v, or just not know how to use them properly :-P. I had a 53 plate 1.2 16v and it used to keep up with my mates 1.4 saxo vtr lookalike pretty easily. It had bit more top end, and even then it wasnt by much. Used to eat The new corsa 1.2 and keep up with the 1.4s...
You can change the display, theres about 4 displays that react to the music, 5 pictures, and 2 animated clips. Plays everything. The face looks really nice, and the blue looks amazing at night. Well worth it Mate.
Got the 7700, and i love it. Had 2 Sony head units and loved both. The other one is in my brothers car and is still going perfectly after 2 years. Dunno why people slate them on her. Look a thousand times nicer than alpine and pionners. And to be honest my mate had a £500 alpine and it wasnt...
I saw it earlier in the year in a mag, cant remember whicj one, and it said there would be a 2.0 ltr, and a 2.0 ltr turbo, as they said renault would no longer be doing a V6 clio, so the 2.0 ltr turbo was replacing it. Was 225bhp same as megane.
I had them for my previous car. I rang them up and was told that i could do anything to the exterior, with no effect to the insurance cost, and to keep the recipts for every mod if i wished to claim for them if it got stolen. However i was told mods increasing engine performance would increase...
The 1.2s and 1.4s arent colour coded as standard. Only the 182s and 172s. Is a guide on here on how to do it, or you can get a body shop to do it. Probably be about the £150-£200 mark, but not to sure on that.
The Gti 6 is bloody fast. My mate had one untill he wrote it off, by landing it on a beach. He had cams and remap on it and it was pin your arse through the seat quick. Was tested at 203bhp. But they are very heavy. Like a tank.
Its the scratching of the glove box door, and the hair in the head rests that gets me. It never comes out, and my glove box looks like its had an incident with a cheese grater.
As Cocopops said, no point spending £150-200 on componenets and putting 15 watts rms into them. Waste of money to be honest. Know what you mean about losing the flow of the dash, but just changed my head unit, and it sounds so much better, even on standard speakers.
Look mate you obviously hate renaults, so what ever anyone says your going to disagree with and find some pissey argument.
Ive had two clios from new. The only problem i had with the first was the indicator bulb went. Not what youd define as a major issue. Other than that ive had nothing but...
Lol. The interior between the 182/172/v6 and the 1.2 aren t much different. lol. No they have better seats and some alluminium bits. But to be honest just a dressed up interior. Loads of bits from the lower models. You dont buy renaults for there interiors. All about the driving.
Yeah exactly. So you pay back the difference between what the cars worth and what you have yet to pay. Is good because, as you say you can bail out at any point.
If you had it back will have to pay the difference up front. Plus they wont give you as good a price for it as your not continuing your business with them. Well that was pretty much the milage and age of my car when i traded it in and lost about £1500 on it in depreciation. Not to bad. But...
I did it. went from my 1.2 to a 1.6. They gave me a good price for my 1.2. On finance to. What happens is they work out how much youve paid off, how much the cars worth, then calculate the difference and add it onto the monthly payments of the car tyour trading it in for. So really isnt to bad...
Lol. no offence mate but ur screwed. insurance is so expensive till u get to 21, and get at least 1 yrs ncb behind u. When i first started driving at 17 had a 1.1 renault 5, they wanted £1500 for me. That was the best i could get after a lot of shopping about. So 17 with a 1.8 16v. doomed mate.
Opening it up would be a luxuary. Still running mine in. lol. But used to open my old one up all the time, and will do with this one to. But wont be bouncing it off the rev limiter. Just open it up when its safe and i feel like it!!
Well pretty sure thats what it is. Specially if u can only hear it from the outside. Ur k-tec exhaust will probably be getting hotter than a standard exhaust, probably why u can hear it now and not on ur standard. But saying that I can sometimes hear it on mine and i have a standard box. For now...
When i first started looking out for the 182 and 172 used to be really rare to see one, but in the last year see them pretty often now. Used to be luck if i saw one a month, now see 2 a week. And normally different ones. I do live 10 mins away goodwood though so probably off to the track. lol...
