i would of thort that 60mm springs would really reduce the life of your shocks

i know i had a mark 1 clio that i did up sh*t loads, spent $$$$ on it. then wrote it off with only 3rd party insurance. i got this clio and swore not to do nething to it, so far ive lowered it, had a full exhaust system de cat, £900 ice istall lol. # i want it chipped and possibly NOSd too...

they said to me that its not ideal to paint the plastic bits because they are slightly rough, but they told me that they try to smooth it out, prime it then paint. they also said they use an extra adhesive to make the paint "stick" better. £200 seems alright to me, id rather have reno do it...

im having my w reg 3 door clio colour coded at reno leicester, having the back and front bumpers done and side strips colour coded. its costing £200+ vat. maybe try reno in cardiff?

yeh i know a 60 mm drop would wot i wud go for if i were puttin 17s on my car but im not as i explained, they just kill any kind of performance and thats what im interested in. a 60 mm drop on standard wheels would look v low i can imagine. im just gona go for a 35 mm drop on Pi springs...

i mean i have a mark 2 phase 1 clio ( with all red rear lights) and i want to put on a set of mark 2 phase 2 lights, with the white circle on. is this straight forward ? what do u mean when u say change the wiring? thanks tom

how much should i be looking at paying for a pair of second hand rear clusters off a phase 2 mark 2 for my phase 2 mark 1? in mint condition?

i had a mark 1 clio that i lowered 40mm on the standar wheels and they almost disappered up the arches! these new clios r very very very high as standard. so maybe a 60mm drop wudnt look so crazy>???

yeh my mates had his ford ka ( LOL) lowerd 60mm and its a horrendous ride! dont wana do that !

also dave u got a pic of ur induction kit>?? does it sound nice on ur car? im awaiting mine to come threw .

just spoke to reno who have quoted £200+VAT. he said he carnt guarantee it tho, sumthing to do with the bumpers being slightly rough??? how good a finish will i get then? i wont look w**k will it??

shame i live in leicester. a guy said he had his done at reno for about £200. i thort that sounded a tad expensive, but i guess its the labour your paying for more than anything!!!!

read the how to on this and theres no way i feel confident doing it myself, plus i really dont mind paying a pro to do it anyway as it will save me time and give me a far better result. how much have other people paid to have their bumpers and sides c/c on 98- clios??

you just shudnt touch the body of clios. they look good enuf as they are IMO. im getting my 1.4 16v colour coded hopefully soon, but in no way do i feel confident enough to do it myself. anyone 1 else had it dont at a pros, just the side strips and front a back bits on the bumpers.? how...

ive got a 5inch slash cut exhaust on my clio. its a powerflow back box and its got a powerflow de cat on. sounds the muts nuts now!

yeh they do :D its made a big difference in performance having both taken off.

ive ot a powerflow back box on my car, and b4 i had my de cat dun it was a very low deep sound it gave out. now its more of a throtty sound. very pleased!!! if u dont spot me ull hear me anyway now, with my ice install just bin completed!

it was £150 fully fitted. normally its only £80, but aparantly i had 2 cats on my car. its a 2000w reg 1.4 16v. well worth it tho

do it. ive just had mine done at Mr Tyre in leics. ( powerflow dealer) who i highly recommend as they have given me an excellent service, got my back box and de cat done there. really makes your car sound amazing, and there is a definite increase in response and power. Feels great sounds...
