How old do you have to be to get a realistic quote on insurance for a 172? im 19 @ the min 20 soon never had a claim against my name but have always been a named driver on my mums insurance , drive a 1.4 16v clio but have always wanted a 2.0. just wundering how much longer ill have to wait...

Managed to dunch the front of my w reg 1.4 16v clio, not going thro insurance 4 one reason or the other, basically i need a new front wing and bumper., so am possbily thinking about buying the bits for a mark 1 172 to make my 1.4 look like a 172 from the front. just need some advice...

i dont know if the si is more powerful but at a guess with a sports injection system in it it wud be. i think if your after a sporty car then the si is better because you do get the sportier interior.

i dont know the difference but i own a 1.4 16v si and the interior on them is very nice with the sports seats, si standing for sports injection i assume so i would also assume the si has sum kind of perfmormance gain over the Etoiles. ?? the si doesnt have full electrics, has manual side...

what is a cat-back ? powerflow have done my system for me, straight through de cat and back box sounds brill! and they have made it so i can just slip my cat back in when its mot time. cant fault them very high quality workmanship and service.

had my cats put back on my 1.4 16v clio yesterday for my MOT this week, and i didnt realise how much of a difference they make to the noise of the exhuast and the power. Car seems almost silent now even with my powerflow back box, and theres a noticible lack of performance with the CATs on.

hummmm sum interesting points, perhaps the guy who fitted it was eating sum kind of hobnob whilst fitting the xzorst?!? it smells more like a home made cake almost. i prefer a flan! lol

yeh sumthing to do with them having to make a part because they cudnt get any from their supplier ( k-tec racing) where abouts do u have to drill your airbox in the newer clios ???

because ive pai £120 for a ramcharger IK and ive bin waiting 4 weeks for it, and they say its gona b another week . im thinkin of soddin it and just go for a green air panel filter

yeh they do , weve got a new land rover defender as a 3rd car and its got almost as bad a horn as my clio!!!

yeh i was gona ask if there was a better horn on the 172s, clearly better in everyway than the baby clios :(

had sum nob cut me up the yesterday thort id beep at him and i was soooo embarrsed by the perthetic beep my horn gives off! its of a w reg clio and it really is embarrassing! ne1 else think so? and how easy is it to get a deeper sounding 1 lol

ive had my exhaust de catted, and ever since ive had the expected higher levels of exhaust gas smell. however if i havent driven my car quickly for any length of time then i boot it, i get a very strange smell like cooking biscuitS! not a bad smell just seem very strange lol

whats best for a 1.4 16v clio?? as in best for performance? best for sound? best value for money?

yeh my exhaust sounds the muts nuts now ive had it de catted, carnt wait to have the ramcharger on there aswell!!
