I'm using e.t 38 on my O.Z. Superturismo WRC's. I asked for e.t 40, but it wasn't available.
Car isn't lowered, and could be a difficulty arising if it was. But only if severely lowered I suspect.
A Sonus lambs wool mit as recommended by Rich (the guru). I've been very pleased with it's performance, keeps the swirl marks to a minimum. Always washed after usage though. Seems quite well made also.:)
Looking for a good quality metal polish. Autoglym do one, any good or should I be looking elsewhere?
Will be using the polish on stainless steel and polished billet alluminium wheels.
Thanks.:)
Just started polishing the new car. The body is fibreglass, it's been re-sprayed within the last year in gloss black.
Began using SRP via microfibre cloth with minimal pressure only to discover the paint was starting to rub off on to the cloth. This could be because a laquer wasn't applied at...
Finally bought a bottle of Yellow moose wax.Applied a fair quantity by hand via microfibre cloth.Buffed to shine.Finished with Carnuba Moose Wax.I was expecting more shine than an SRP and EGP which doesnt seem to be so.In fact less glossy if anything.Any tips? Thanks.
I know the frustration. My front wing was keyed in the last few weeks.
I'm now looking into a repair job. Just trying to select a company which will do decent pleasing job.
Chips away? Many people used these guys???
It could be something simple such as a gas leak in the exhaust system, or perhaps cam timing is off. Doubtful the timing is off as Ben is rather good when it comes to fitting cams.
Only other thing is a compression leak from some part of the engine.
As I say, I'll save my pennies and move...
Haven't bothered to return to AngelWorks for a diagnosis on the difference in power.
Budget may well allow me to buy something slightly quicker by the end of the year. So rather than spend more money on finding out/remedying the problem, save it towards a potential new car. This applies to...
Once again my car has suffered at the hands of a vandal. Twice within seven days!
Last night the aerial was unscrewed and taken.
Anybody know where I can get hold of an aerial for a 182 Cup? Not too bothered if its second hand. As long as it's in good condition.
Any ideas?
Many thanks.:)
Thanks for the advice.:) But considering the paint was immaculate until this episode and I'm a keen detailer I'd rather not.
It needs to look as it did before the incident which wasn't far off from when it left the factory.
Not to pleased with the car recently, not been on here alot for that reason.
Firstly all the money spent on tuning with an unsatisfactory result. Secondly curbing on of the SuperTurismo's which had only been on a month and now this.:(
Not pleased at all.
Last night some individual took a disliking to the passenger side front wing.
Its been keyed.Scored into the plastic wing itself. Can someone advise on the best route of repair please, replace wing,re-spray etc? Also any idea on a rough outline of price. All comments appreciated greatly. Thank you.
You WON'T regret it. A local round my way has one with the YozzaSport de-cat. It sounds ABSOLUTELY fuc*ing FANTASTIC!!!!:D :D
I raced him on our local circuit the other night. The sound REALLY is superb, real cultured, proper tuned note!!:D :D
Kinda wish I'd opted for one rather then my...
^ Do you have an at the wheel figure for your dyno test?
One of the locals round my way uses a Yozzasport with a de-cat. It's ALOT louder than mine. But what an EXCELLENT sound!!!!
I opted for a BTB full system with YozzSport de-cat. It's not as noisy, quiet compared to previous mentioned...
It means you'll be able to hear the tappets on the valve train more so than usual. This usually appears on cars which have worn tappets. Obviously this won't be the case if there's no noise beforehand.
Noticed my Cat 420's are causing a slightly tappety sound. Just something uprated cams cause...
I'd personally get the uprated exhaust asap. No point in returning to re-map the car once again in later months after the cams.
I had the car re-mapped the day AFTER the cams and inlets were matched. Glad I did as well! The ECU was over fueling, running fairly rich, bad MPG.
Really need to...
Me too!! At the moment it doesn't sit too pretty. With the mods so far my car is only making about 8-9 bhp over what most experience with NO mods whatsoever!!!!!  :S :( .
