Cant beleive it, the backbox on my 51 plate, 30k mile 172 has just snapped off on the way home from work! Its right at the flange.. has that happened to any one else? Will renault pay towards it under warranty? and how much will this cost me?

My thoughts exactly! They are just saying the same thing over and over, basically I have to pay! I have a warranty from Trad Sales aswell so am gonna see if that will cover me... You really dont xpect that from a car that is only just 2 yrs old!

It was Arnold Clarke in Warrington.. They also said my discs and pads need replacing all the way round on its next service... and on the schedule said 30% wear!!

Mate, pro clean in prescott (north West) did a superb job on my willy 2, colour was spot on and the outer edge was polished up too. They were totally mailto:sh@gged">sh@gged when I took them in as well.. Cost about £160 for the lot..

I could only see the springs which lower car by 15mm..

Im not sure its covered under warranty, The car is a 51 (sept 01) from Trade sales...I do however have the letter from rensault stating that the car is still covered, and I have the extended warranty from trade sales, not sure how much use that is tho! Think I might just leave the Auto...

Hey, just got my 172 and have an intermittent prob with the headlight.. The O/S Xenon light seems to be intermittent, when its on it is fine and does not go out, but sometimes when I switch the lights on, only the left xenon works.. Any ideas? It seems to be ok when the lights come on...

I have twin 45 Dellorto DHLAs on my 2.0XE Westfield, combined with a bonnet exit manifold and zorst, got just over 180bhp. Standard XE is 156 IIRC.. so there is a definate benefit on the correct motor! Although they do take a lot of fiddling and constant setting up!
