For what I saved i'm happy to drop slightly from the spec of a real MacBook.
It's better specced than the MacBook Air and that's silly money.
The setup wasn't fun but anyone with a knowledge of Terminal will have no problems at all. There are not many laptops to choose from if you want Leopard...
Buy the laptop yourself from the Dell Outlet Store and install using the instructions found at the link above.
AFAIK the ethernet port is not currently supported but I use wifi so that's not a problem. Other than that every main component works inc webcam and the inbuilt volume controls.
I do already own Leopard so I didn't steal from Apple but I did have to use a modified version. The instructions were fairly easy to follow but I did have one or two complications. I now have a dual boot between Vista and Leopard. I chose the Inspiron 1525 because it shares many components from...
My Dell Inspiron arrived yesterday from the Outlet Store. If it was ever used by a previous owner then I'd never know, it's in immaculate condition. Cost me £390 delivered, a saving of £200 on a like for like spec at Dell's main online store.

I never got around to buying one so not sure if it can support anything other than what is listed. They claim it can be updated for new codec support easily enough though so it may be added eventually.
They can be bought for £200 in the UK but there is usually a short waiting list. Most people I know who have ordered one from America have paid no more than £160 delivered and then another £30 or less import tax for the version minus a hdd. The A110 is the latest model.
In stock here with 500gb...
That's all I had to do. Display the remote code on the iPhone and then select it on iTunes. Obviously both have to be connected to the same wifi network.
Have you been using a dual screen setup with your iMac?
Some advice if not from another forum:
What happens if you go into ~/Library/Preferences and delete the .plist file associated with that app?
This should do it, I just came in here to mention it. I've tried this with other apps when this...
The Apple TV pricing dropped earlier this year in American but didn't change at all here. Thankfully I bought one from the refurb store and saved £80 :)
We do get ripped off here.
When they announce that "The old low-end $1099 MacBook will remain in Apple's product line, add a SuperDrive, and fall to $999" you expect the price to drop in the UK and not rise by £20. I'd expected a drop to £650 or £600 for the basic MacBook. I can see me spending the money on a good Windows...
I hope the current reports on MacRumors prove to be wrong or I'll not be overly thrilled.
