No you browse the Mac 'Site' folder from the PS3 and copy or play what media you want. Not an ideal solution for iTunes playback though, mainly used by me for films etc
The Samsung is a very nice phone with lots of features. With the Symbian OS you get a good featured phone.
The Samsung Omnia is also a cracking Windows Mobile phone worth looking at.

On your Mac enable File Sharing and Web Sharing and then access the supplied web address on the PS3 browser and you can stream media or copy it to the PS3 from there. No need for Medialink etc. All you need do is copy media into the Sites folder on the Mac.
Downloaded and installed no problems. I like the new details available within the Songs list and the Genius button for playlists is great. Contacts are definitely running faster now and so far I'm happy with the bug fixes.
It's the GPS chip in the phone and apparently it doesn't always turn itself off after you have used Maps etc. Turning it off in the menus is recommended.
You are correct, for now you can only Jailbreak the 3G iPhone using the existing software methods. I've read mixed opinions on Turbosim for the 3G.

They said they will be available later this week so hopefully by the weekend.
I'd probably spend £30 more and get the Classic rather than the Nano if size is not a issue. 120gb storage is excellent.
I prefer the larger sized Nano, the bigger screen will be a huge improvement. Despite the taller look it's not exactly big, I have the model prior to the outgoing Nano.
It's slightly thinner and now comes with a inbuilt speaker, volume controls and Nike+. I think it's also slightly cheaper but I can't remember how much Apple were charging for the previous model.
Re: iphone appstore must haves?
What added Activesync functionality have they announced, I never read anything about that? I did read that it is now added to the Touch so that it matches the iPhone but that seems pretty pointless when you must rely on a wifi connection to use it.
I think you have to go through a 3rd party such as Izymail.com in order to get Hotmail access on the iPhone. I use gmail.

I've been testing Air Sharing tonight, great little app and so far no crashes. I'm looking forward to the 2.1 firmware update this Friday and hopefully it fixes the main stability issues with the iPhone.
I reckon I'll buy the football game, it does look really good.
There have been MacBook casing mould photos leaked online and they are usually correct.
