I had planned on buying the white iPhone but having viewed those photos I'm not so sure now. However the white edition will hide fingerprints and scratches better than the gloss black.
I very rarely get near 200mb of EDGE/GPRS data alone. As of 11th July BT Openzone wifi hotspots are included alongside Cloud so that should help when out and about.
With new purchases having to be activated instore the old iPhone should hopefully hold its price and easily sell for £150 unlocked.
I think I'll buy the white edition but will be waiting to see a demo model first.
From what I've read you will sign up for the contract in store and activate at home. If you do not activate within a set time period then they will charge a penalty fee against you. That's how it'll work in America now so probably the same here.
The only lower tariff worth considering saves £10 per month but you can downgrade after 9 months so it works out £10 less overall to take the £45 tariff than the £35. Even better you only pay £59 now rather than £159.
I synced my old N73 with my Mac and all numbers transferred easily, not sure if it's as simple on a PC but I think you can do so via Outlook.
I'll upgrade my plan to £45 instore and reduce the 16gb price to £59. You can downgrade the plan after 9 months so in total I'll save £10 this way and...
No I think you will be forced to enter into a contract instore. The only alternative will be the PAYG version but no price has been announced for that.
Data usage whilst roaming refers to using the iPhone outwith the UK.
It'll be a huge selling handset now at these prices and easily beats the offerings from other manuafacturers. I thought the same when I paid £269 for the current model, even more reason to now.
It's expected that customers...

Current iPhone owners can upgrade on July 11th for the same price.
Very cheap for a highly featured phone. That'll hurt iPod sales. PAYG also available.

O2 selling the 8gb for £99 on a £35 per month or less tariff, free on the £45 or £75 plan.
£159 for the 16gb on £30/£35 plan, £59 on £45 plan and free on £75 plan.
£59.99 per year is not a lot of money for what you get included. I'll give it a go.
I'm glad they never included a front facing camera, I've never once used video calling in any phone I've had that supported it.
Hopefully MMS can be supported via the app store.
Oddly the box contents includes a SIM ejector tool. Currently they treat it like you should never be removing the SIM.
Mobileme will cost £59 which is good value. I'll demo it for 60 days first and make sure I use it.

iPhone 3G delivers UMTS, HSDPA, GSM, Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPS and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR in one compact device — using only two antennas. Clever iPhone engineering integrates those antennas into a few unexpected places: the metal ring around the camera, the audio jack, the metal screen bezel, and within...
