I've happily used my iPhone on Edge around the Glasgow area. Even on standard GPRS it's more than acceptable depending on the sites I browse. 3G will be a good addition as will the new software apps. Sling player is apparently on the way :)
I will buy one too as the current model is the best mobile I have owned. Yes it lacks some features but it's still my favourite mobile. The App Store should help to rectify some of the missing features.
If it is unveiled today then all we have to do is await o2 confirming the release details...
o2 contimue to have a UK exclusive on the iPhone so it's unlikely to be available on other networks unless Apple sell it directly at full price sim free.
No signal problems for me and battery life easily lasts 2 days with wifi always on and around 5 hours of use. Not so sure it'll be so good with 3G but so long as it lasts a day then I'm happy to charge it every night.
I may sell my 8gb iPhone to fund the new model.
I'm looking forward to Monday :)
The "OS X Leopard" banner reads "The world's most advanced operating system," while the "OS X iPhone" banner reads "The world's most advanced mobile platform."

I'd pay £299 for 3G, GPS and 16GB storage. I love my current iPhone and it can only get better with the release of 2.0
The US patent application is a interesting read too.

The new model has to be on sale in the UK very soon. o2 have had no stock for several weeks now and that is not good for business, the replacement stock has to be just around the corner.
I never stayed after my initial 12 months so never had the chance to try retentions. I do know that in store the staff at Vodafone usually can make some good offers.
Don't deal with sales or you'll never get a good offer. Phone the o2 cancellations department and they will make you a better offer if you push them. It always worked for me.
The 8gb model will more than likely be discontinued and the lowest spec should be 16gb with a 32gb model announced on June 9th. Not long to wait now and we can see what is true or not.
With the introduction of the App Store I think they will scrap the 8gb model.
You can buy an adapter for under £10 that will allow you to use any headphone you like.
Shure and Bose earphones fit without any adapter.
