The iPhone and the iPod Touch 16gb are the same price on the US website so in reality the 8gb iPhone should cost £269 in the UK, same as the Touch 16gb.
The 4gb iPhone is no more.
I think the European iPhone announcement is due on the 25th September, I'll hold off on buying the Touch until I hear what deals will be available on the iPhone.
The iPhone has dropped in price in America to $399 from $599, the 4gb version is now discontinued.
Now I have to decide if I buy the 8gb iPhone or a 16gb iPod Touch as they are both the same price. If I buy the Touch then I'll get the new SE k850i phone.
My hopes have been answered, a iPod that looks like the iPhone and has a wifi capable web browser included :) 16gb - $399 and a 8gb - $299
New versions of the Nano and classic iPod also available immediately. The Nano now includes video playback...
I think it needs a change of hardware to make it compatible with 3G.
The release date is expected to be announced today, if it's like the American release earlier this year then that happened 4 weeks after the press conference.
Apple are holding a press conference tomorrow where they apparently plan to make several big announcements. The next gen iPod's are meant to be part of the presentation and will feature the iPod Touch. Touch screen and wifi have been rumoured.
Will we hopefully see a new iPod tomorrow with the OS interface of the iPhone but minus the phone functionality? I hope so cause I'd rather own one of those than the complete iPhone package which I fear will not be altered to suit the UK market.
The n95 also gets a new 8gb version :) The N81 will be available with or without the 8gb inbuilt memory. The 8gb version of both models do not accept memory cards but then you are unlikely to need those.

Of the two I'd choose the k850i but I could be swayed towards the new N81.
Nokia will be releasing the N-Gage software onto the N series phones very soon which will be a nice addition.

They can't charge you a termination fee. The t&c clearly state that you have the right to cancel, they do not stipulate any useage condition to qualify for this. You entered into a contract which allowed you to call these numbers, using them or not makes no difference, o2 have changed this contract.
Can it monitor people who tunnel out to a home PC using SSH and effectively browse using that system? Surely all it would display is a connection to the outside and no other details of what you were looking at as this would be handled remotely?
I only have 2 months left on my contract so it's probably not worth me phoning them to cancel. There are currently no phones I actually want and I doubt there will be until my renewal is due.
