Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
Not really. Wireless charging, NFC would have been great advancements. Anyway I'm not here to troll, just wanted to point that out.
Some very interesting points in this post. It's fair to say Samsung deserved it but also they would have known exactly what they were getting themselves in for so it would have been no surprise. I do fear for Apple post-Jobs era because as said he was so strict on quality and design, I really...
I listened to a Zeppelin Air and really wasn't that impressed, but then again I listen to a full AV system every day so maybe my expectations were unrealistic as it's only relatively small, it's just that everyone absolutely raves about them.
Badger: I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to proper networking. I've set up multiple home networks but never gone too advanced however am a pretty quick learner when it comes to this stuff because it interests me.
To create separate VLANs does that mean use different subnets? All the LANs I...
Hi,
I'm currently having a nightmare at work trying to become PCI Compliant with our Card Merchant. For those who have never heard of PCI, it is basically a requirement for any business who have a card machine for taking VISA, Mastercard etc payments which means that you must protect the...
Wow the standard has improved in here (no offence intended to anyone!) Back when I came in here before the photos weren't anywhere near as good.
Anyway here's one from our recent visit to NYC, a panorama of Time Square. I didn't expect it to come out well at all as I just stood there and took 5...
Terrible idea!
A much better on is that your phone will probably soon be everything in your pocket. There are already steps for the phone to become your bank/credit card with contact payments, and I can't see it being long before a car manufacturer tries to use the contact thing as a wireless...
I would consider the 609 but the company I am getting from don't supply Onkyo, they are quite niche (Rotel, Rega, B&W, Linn, Naim) and I was lucky that Denon was one of the manufacturers they supply. From the reviews I have seen it's negligible differences between the 609, some people prefer the...
Well if I was to upgrade the fronts it would be in a years time when this business deal rolls around again and I would probably go for some B&W 685s or something similar. But until then it would be my wharfedales only. Tough one!
Nice set up Millsy!
I went into the shop yesterday and did a great deal with the owner (I know him and there was some two-way business to be done) and he said for my budget he can get me a Denon 3312 + SPC-10 Sub + 10.CC Centre, or I can have Denon 1912 + SPC-10 + 10.CC and keep £250 in my...
Yeah it's been great for me for the past 18 months, especially when i added the Wharfedales for the fronts. Now I'm just looking to take a bit of a step up and see what the difference is.
From a completely uninformed point of view (and probably worthless to this conversation) I've been quite surprised lately at the amount of people with new Nokias, it's not loads but I've seen a few which is surprising. I used one the other day (no idea what it was) but it was nice and smooth so...
The wife just upgraded to the HTC One S today. Out of the box this looks like an unbelievable phone, as I've said before I had to root my Sensation to get the best performance out of it (to put ICS on it before it came out officially) but the One S is fast as fook out of the box. Very impressive!
Put it this way; My mum, dad and 3 sisters all have iPhones. They're all internet retards who think that Facebook is the best thing ever invented and that communication over the internet is a new thing. They put posts such as "Repost this if you appreciate your Mummy cos she's the best! x"...
Imho it's pretty obvious that they moved the phone to the October announcement (in line with the iPods iirc?) and will continue at that time each year for phones.
And HTC Sync pretty much is the worth program ever :D But as Revels says, buy the phone for the phone and not for its sync software which you will use once in a blue moon.
For anyone who cares about ICS, I took a quick video of how smooth my phone is. Genuinely over the moon with the improvements over Gingerbread.
Before upgrading to ICS the constant small lags and little stutters in certain apps was really starting to grate, I was considering going back to...
