Justin, I paid £6300 for the car from a main dealer. It's an 02 plate and has done 33,000 miles with fsh. Renault have told me the car is an import but the DVLA disagree. I'm delighted with the car and think I got a great deal.

Hi Annie :) I used Zymol cleaner wax on the car and followed it up with a coating of Supagard.

I went into Halfords and asked about ordering clear side repeaters. They quoted me £20 so I'm probably better buying them directly from Renault.

I work in Glasgow and live in Cumbernauld.

Those must be the cheapest tyres available at that size which will be why the dealer fitted them.

Correct :D The dealer had fitted those on all 4 wheels before selling the car to me. Not the best but they do the job.

I get a vibrating noise which sounds like it comes from inside of the dash at certain revs, perhaps it's the engine cover.

I'm considering removing this from my 172 as I also get a loud vibration noise under load, although i'm not 100% sure it's coming from the engine bay.

They'll only send it if you've still not paid it when they run the checks on the computer system. Get it paid asap and you may well be ok. It's not unusual to get away with 14 days overdue but I'd not advise you to test that.

Does Claire Atkinson still work for Renault UK? If so it's possibly worthwhile asking her to deal with your complaint as she seemed to help lots of people on Parkers forum in the past.

The warranty should definately start from date of registration. It seems that Renault have incorrect info on their system which they need to ammend.

I'm looking for a HU that I can easily link with my I-River mp3 player. The JVC KD-G821 has a USB input which will support my player and also display track details etc on screen. Is this HU likely to be good as I've never bought a JVC before...

I've booked it in for the cam & aux belts and it's also going to get the air filter and fuel filter replaced at the same time. The mechanic I use has never changed the belt on a 172 but he has had experience on lots of high powered sports cars and he always takes his time and does a great job...

I think that's the very reason why I'll opt to do it all now as I know I have the money for it but possibly not if I wait till next year. I had a look at my aux belt and it looked like new :D Prob more to my clueless nature regarding car mechanical issues.

Popular opinion seems to suggest I'd be better replacing both now rather than only the aux belt. If I do that then the new headunit will have to wait till another time.
