been there done that :pensive: they either a) didnt have any clios or b) their bonnets have gone....might start trying to find one from further away as my previous search was only within a 5 mile radius lol
have tried that and got some out that went up the bonnet more, and have tried the glass panel sucker things too but they cant get a good enough grip to pull it as hard as i need to to get it out :/
done pretty well for yourself! I'm same age as you (born 96) and can only dream of getting a new car at the min...school doesn't pay and matalan are shitty min. wage.....which doesnt go far!
what would you recommend? got quite a limited inventory at the minute but with xmas only a couple of months away i hope it's going to grow! But until then, im stuck with some megs gold class shampoo & liquid wax, ag's bodywork shampoo and conditioner, super resin polish & extra gloss protection...
that's what im saving for, a new car....the 1.2l isnt doing it for me any more ;)
I went round to a few dent repair people and pdr places in person and they all came back with quotes of over 200 so just gonna leave it and if a bonnet in the same colour pops up then dibs mine  was given a...
nope! ive attached the whole quote, it's quite funny when all i asked for was the dent to be removed and to not worry about the scratch (as i can do that myself)
Cheers buddy! Hosed it down quickly on mist setting, then diluted APC to about 1:1.5 so pretty strong, but still didn't foam up as much as I'd've liked but got in there with a brush and a few rags to all the bits I could reach. Hosed it down quickly on the fan setting then started her up and...
As requested.... before & after! Quickly managed to get the majority of it done, by no means completely done....never will be! But good enough for the quick half hour of light left.
Cheers guys! It's currently chucking it down so my plans for this afternoon have gone to pot as I dont fancy putting up the gazebo, so it'll have to be tomorrow before it gets done.
Suggested dilution for the APC? 1:1? 1:2?
I got a little 1.2l so there's not much there to get dirty really ;) but seeing as it's never been done (known for a fact....my grandma isn't that into cleaning her cars!) I thought it's about time that it got some loving too.
Ethan, would the gaffa not leave residue behind? Would leccy tape...
So I want to give my engine bay a clean, but am a bit apprehensive about water getting in and messing things up.
What do I need to cover with plastic bags?
I know that the alternator could do with covering, as can the fuse box....what about the battery? Or plugs?
Not going to use a pressure...
Anybody used CreateMyPlates.co.uk?
Cheaper than FancyPlates for what seems to be the same product. Being a student, every little helps ;)

Looking to get a front plate, size 520 x 90mm
hahaha yeah no way am I gonna fill it! sorry GiT ;) Have been trawling eBay, but with the damn paint code that it is (NV901) it's like finding a needle in a haystack. must be cheaper to find a replacement than getting it pulled and resprayed?
So I got a nice big juicy dent on my bonnet, courtesy of mr cyclist deciding he wants to cross the road right infront of me in the rain.
Any ideas on how to remove it? With the bonnet being double skinned, can't really get any tools of any significance in from the bottom to push it out that...
Sounds like a reverse light switch (one on gearbox), located on the passenger side, gotta take front wheel off then it's in a bit of an awkward place. Make sure you have some gearbox oil to top up the lost oil with, or maybe consider a full oil change (I did that....by accident....couldn't get...
So after it happening to me twice in two days, and getting stuck over 1.5hrs from home, I managed to fix the bloody thing. Ended up changing battery and stripping out ignition barrel, drying it all with some moderate heat and towels and left it to sit for 24hrs. Haven't had a problem since, and...
Hello
Infamous leaking manual sunroof on my mk2. Tried replacing the seal, to no avail so looking for a business to come out and do it for me.
Anybody got any companies that they have used before or know of that do a good job at a good price? So far I have a quote of £130.50 from Sunroof...
