    Just pull it upwards really hard, it will come out... Then push the speedo cable in quite firmly... Should make your Mk1 dash work fine. We run the 172 sensor (that you are about to take out) but thats only because its required for 172 clocks... And yes, you did. Lol.

    Is this on your Mk1? Remove the electric sensor thats in that hole (3 pin plug on the top of it) and put your original Mk1 cable into there...

    Ph1s have a speedo sensor into the back of the box where the speedo cable on a Mk1 would usually go - so a Mechanical Sensor that converts it into an electrical signal for the ECU/Dash

    Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project Along with the solenoid crimp I also noticed this... That'l be why the motor wasnt turning over then. It was just resting on the metal contact but not properly connected... So I took both starters apart and made one 'good' one from the two broken ones...
