Weight? (strippage?)

So far the following has been removed

spare wheel and cage
boot carpet
Rear Seats
Rear Door Cards
Parcel Shelf and everything that holds it up,
head lining
sunvisors/grab handles
rear seatbelts
B pillar covers
Front seatbelts
A pillar Covers
lower dash console
Kick pannels (that run underneith the front doors)
All carpeting and sound deadening (not the tar bit)
Front seats

And the following has been added

Cobra monaco base mounted seats
OMP 4point harnesses
OMP rear half cage (aprox 15kg)

has anyone who has done similar stripping weighed their cars??
would be very interested to see how much she weighs!

Also, how much do the front door cards wigh?? should i get them out even though it means loosing the door pockets and such??

MarkCup did something similar to his 172 Cup. Can't remember the exact details, but you should find it all via a search. Has led to a car with about 200 BHP/tonne up from the standard power to weight ratio of approx 165 BHP/tonne. Best power gain money can buy!

The side impact bars in the doors are very heavy, and on both sides. Although, id only recommend cutting them out if you put your cage upto the front. More weight could be removed by - removing rear wiper mech/motor, cutting out the bootlid skin, removing sunroof glass and replacing with polycarbonate, fitting polycarbonate windows, cutting out the inner bonnet skin, etc!

Mine weighs 830-840kg depending on what wheels I am on, with 172bhp = 210bhp/tonne

You can start to get serious with a rollcage in. This is my 205 with no inner skin at the rear Hoping for under 700kg fully built up

ive not got so much roll cage,
but ill be keeping the inside of the doors,
hopefully ill be looking around 900kg

OK, time for a pic or two then...mine's almost the same spec in terms of weight removal as your except I've only replaced the one front seat, and I've not got any cage. Other things gone you've not mentioned are carbon canister, power steering, engine undertray and bonnet sound insulation/lining, airbags...and the door cards have gone too.

This is how it stands now

There's a surprising amount to be had from both door cards

Everything I removed I weighed on scales as it went into storage, and everything swapped (seats, mounts etc.) I weighed both and worked out the difference.

Then to check it all, I weighed the car myself to see where I ended up
