Yeah, well the wierd thing is we had it running a week or so ago (no hesitation though) and it would rev up perfectly, no issue. We had to strip it down again as there was an oil leak from behind one of the cam pullies, some of the fresh sealant from the rocker cover seemed to be leaking.
After...
I thought it could be an air leak somewhere, but checked it over. The fitment sticking out of the inlet near the TB is connected to the fuel pressure regulator with a piece of vacuum hose..
The engines in someone elses Mk1 valver shell - Yep the leads are 100% in the right order, coilpack...
Its a 172 Ph1 engine, freshly rebuilt head with new gaskets etc, new belt etc. Timed up perfectly with my tools, checked numerous times so im 110% certain it is not that.
When cranking to start, sometimes it will fire straight away, and proceed to idle fine - others it will crank and crank and...
People sometimes need them on here, but it could end up being sat around for a year until someone pops up wanting one...
I had an engine with a f*cked bottom end and someone ended up wanting the crank, 9 months later, etc.

Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Yeah pretty much.

Track Rod Ends
Steering Column
2x Support Arms (13mm's)
4 x Subframe Bolts
And lower it down. Bit more of a pain in the a*se if you have PAS though, and still a pain if your using any sort of F7 manifold that goes down under...
Mine sticks and you can get hold of the spindle and close it the last mm by hand when it sticks..... I thought why should I bother buying another 2nd hand throttle body with the risk of it being the same?

Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Nope, Adams didnt fit, and it was only a 16mm piston which is the same as the BeeBop/Mk1 1.2 master cylinder. The 1.2 one was only ever fitted as a quick fix to cure the issue I had with having to pump the pedal numerous times to stop, and I never got round...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project

It was welded up and...
