My Car Is Trying To Kill Me.

I was going to suggest lower ball joints as well. My Megane's, Even though its a different set up, Had the exact same issues and my lower hub swivels/bearings where shot causing the play. Was horrible to drive, Felt like it wanted to kill you at every corner. Got them changed and its back to...

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

Cheers Dave, Ill see how i get on with it either way i think it will be perfect for what i wanted Wetcoat for anyway IE easy protection throughout the winter as i cba spending time on it in the freezing cold. If Bathe + has similar properties then all the better, Even if it is going to negate...

    Road/Track Car

I'm glad that you noticed that it was my opinion makes change to being attacked for stated what i prefer LOL! A good bolt in probably is more than enough but it would still be at the back on my mind. Hans is something i had considered, More so If/when i decide to go racing but it isn't a cheap...

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

Ah, i have misunderstood the difference between the two then. I thought + was for prolonging and "topping" up the coatings

    Road/Track Car

Yes they are more expensive but they are worth it, Even the SD cage's bolt in cages would be worth getting welded in, I would want it to be as strong and stiff as i could get it so i would have the utmost faith in it if i ever had to use it. I won't know exactly how much it will cost as its a...

    Joe's Ph2 172

Lol at K-tec customer service being top notch. I would rather saw my own c**k off with a rusty spoon than deal with them ever again. f**king shite.

    Road/Track Car

When i talk about cages i mean properly welded in cages, Not ones that you can bolt in and out and remove bars from, I would have very little confidence in them and always cringe when i see people with K-Tecs bolt in "cage" If your going to the hassle of fitting a good cage and you opt for it...

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

Got this today in an attempt to prolong my Wetcoat for as long as possible during the bad weather. I seem to be buying quite a bit of Gyeon stuff recently, got some Tyre coming as well. It's well priced for being one of the more "niche" brands and all their stuff seems to be pretty good and not...

    Road/Track Car

Unless your going to be using buckets and harness' everyday, Even on the road then i wouldn't bother with a cage, As soon as you stick a cage in something you have made it a track car IMO.

    Road/Track Car

You can't have both, It is either going to be good on track but compromised for the road or vice versa. Personally, Unless your going on a full on track build then just keep it simple and bias it more to fast road use and just make sure that brakes/tyres are upto the task of track work

    Lamborghini Huracan Crash

Lol at some of the comments on here. So your telling me if you had something like that you wouldn't attempt a Vmax run on what looked to be a quiet stretch of motorway in the dry? Aye it might not be the derestricted autobahns but it doesn't look that far off tbh. Brutal, I hit a bump in my...

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

I would also say that if your new to TD's, Use road tyres. Proper track day R tyres hide a multitude of bad driving habits, Start on road tyres and get smooth, consistent and fast on them. Will be a much better driver in the long term and tbh road tyres are more fun as their limit if grip is...

    Liquid yellow differences

Its the same, I have seen a R27, 200, and a 265 parked together and there was no difference between them. It just depends on how the light falls on it tbh, It can look a totally different colour

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

I got inpatient and tried some of my VP Citrus pre wash this afternoon on the rear of the Megane, With snow on the ground LOL. Properly impressed with it miles better than the AF pre wash i had used before. Cleaning power is brilliant, Applied via a pressure sprayer then i literally just rinsed...

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

Just to add to that, Tyre pressure plays a massive role in how long a tyre will last as well. Get them right and you will get ages out them. I have also destroyed a set of RSR's just in one day at KH but it was the middle of the summer heatwave and i was doing long stints and stupidly had...

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

If you are a good consistent driver in regards to lap times and know how to use your car and tyre to its full potential then you can make them last a long time. I got 10k miles plus 4 trackdays out a set of front RSR's on the Megane and they still had enough life for another TD in them, Very...

    Battlefield 4

Worth downloading IMO The vanilla maps are good but get boring after a while, The map packs allow you to mix it up a bit, Some of them are a bit meh but the majority of them are good. I may be on tonight if anyone is going on, Wont be til after 10 though when i get home from work

    Oils

Fuchs titan is great as well, I use either that or Nanodrive in the Megane
  23. -Jamie-

    Oils

Millers Nanodrive, Never felt the need to change it after every track day either. High end oils are good enough that you don't need to.

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

Lol, thats a load of BS. The sidewalls on them are stiff, Comparable to a proper R rated tyre like a direzza or PSC, Infact the 888's sidewall isn't even as stiff as them I have ran them in both soft and med and rate them highly for the price, good all round tyre. wouldn't use them as a...

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

Don't know where you read that, the sidewalls on them are proper stiff, felt like going up a spring rate

    Race Battery

Actually, If your after a cheap lightish battery Look at Lucas LSL C22-12 Golf cart battery, £30 quid and 6kgs IIRC. Again i know several people running them

    Race Battery

Have a look at Braille battery as well, Well recommended by a lot of my friends that use them in track and race cars

Your favourite map of all time?

I would love them to remaster COD4 for next gen consoles, Would be mega going back to basics

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

I ran them briefly on the road on my Megane, Decent enough but the PS2's i put on were much better in giving confidence. RE050's were good in the dry, Not so in the wet. I don't think they would be up to much on track though
  30. -Jamie-

Your favourite map of all time?

A lot of the COD4 maps are still some of my favourite maps, They just got them right before they started adding in all these extra BS kill streaks and perks. Overgrown, Wetwork and Bog were 3 of my favourites
