Will get the pics up later ;), i got the hydraulic fittings and t piece along with a foot long length of hydraulic hose to mount them remotely from my local hydraulics supplier ( i mounted them remotely so the t piece aint screwed into the original oil pressure switch port on the block as there...
K tec have them http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2410
Thats where i got my black one and these ones have the breather pipe built in, there costly though :(
So no need for a separate filter on the breather pipe
The standard oil pressure switch that was in engine block for the oil light is a M14 x 1.5 thread.
This is the electrical sender for my oil pressure gauge thats fucked and thats a 1/8"NPT male thread :(
Did you have to remove the alternator brackets to remove the lower manifold mate ?
As it looks tight for space :(
P.s It may be worth while buying new injector o-rings from Renault for refitting the injectors, as they'll cost f**k all i presume;)
Dunno if this is in the correct section or not.
Anyway, i fitted oil temperature and oil pressure gauges last week.
Now my electrical oil pressure gauge sender is fucked as i knocked it and broke one of the male threaded terminals for the ring connectors off :(
Does anyone know where i...
This is a bit random i know.
Last week i changed the oil and filter in my 2002 172FF, as the last time it was done was 5000 miles ago in its last service using 10w40 Part synthetic oil.
When i changed the oil, i refilled it with 5w40 fully synthetic oil :)
My mate was saying to me from now...
They look 100 times better than mine as yours are part of the dash :)
I have my gauges in a triple gauge pod inside my glovebox out the way as i couldn't think where to mount them as there to big to place on the top of the dash like Gdi's ones.
And i didn't want a pillar gauge pod after even...
Ok cheers bud:)
What do you's guys think i should do.
I've just been thinking.
SHOULD I ATTACH ANOTHER T PIECE TO THE ONE I HAVE TO RUN THE STANDARD OIL PRESSURE SWITCH/SENDER ?
OR LEAVE IT WITH THE OIL GAUGES ON THERE OWN ?
Aggh f**king caps lock :(
Cheers bud, same here i'd rather have a gauge than the light but my gauge seems to read 10ish psi on tickover with the oil temp at 80 degrees c :S
I left the engine idling for a good while as i wanted to see how high the oil temp gauge went up ;)
And on start up from cold the oil pressure...
I got my oil gauges fitted today minus the oil pressure switch.

Due to my local hydraulics supplier having no male to male fittings in the correct size to screw it into a t piece. :(
Will this do me any harm running without one ?
Or is...
As some of you's guys will know i was asking lots of questions about fitting oil temperature, oil pressure and voltmeter gauges.

I went to my local hydraulics supplier today to get a t piece and a male thread to male thread adaptor (1/8"...

Re: oil pressure guage buying help needed
you dont need an expensive sandwhich plate for a pressure sender, just Tee off the low pressure warning sender in...
iF IT'LL AFFECT THE OPERATION OF MY OIL PRESSURE SWITCH I'D BE BETTER TO LEAVE IT :)
Bloody Caps Lock :(
I'd run just a oil temperature and oil pressure gauge in replacement but don't know what the normal oil pressure is meant to be :S So i'd be none the wiser if the pressure dropped or...
