Could hardly have had it checked it over in the car park where i picked it up. Would have a been a jack the car up, and take lower engine covers off. I don't know of anyone who does that lol
I've been thinking that. We stuck to a happy 80-90 on the way home. So just over 3k rpm all the way home. As soon as we got back it was washed and put into storage. Haven't even had a chance to thrash the damn thing. Probably for the best.
The box and diff are bone dry in side. And have been of a while.
God knows why it wasn't whining.
I'll speak to last owner but i can't see me getting anything for it. It was cheap and he was desperate to sell. Maybe there was a reason lol.
Whines a little when not under load but no worse than normal. Thats what i can't understand.

As for not seeing it, it was behind the Engine cover but i'd expect him to remove that when looking for a leak......
Please bare in mind the last time i drove this car was for a 300 mile 4 hour trip to drive it home after buying it.

A friend had some ITB inlet trumpets made by them in different sizes for his triumph TR7.
If only he hadn't but a BMW V12 in it. Ended up costing as much as the donor car!
