5 lites of Halfords semi synthetic is 9.99 at the mo so ideal for storage in garage for top ups. Might finish today though. Meant to post at the weekend and have forgotten to get some myself DOH!!!
As I think I said earlier on another post, it is usually the people and not the product that is the problem. Service provided by some members of staff I work with is terrible but it is usually down to training and motyivation of the individaul. They have to know what they are talking about and...
Performance alloys I think seems the best as you can see pics of several wheels on cars theyve kitted out. With anything shop around and use someone localish if you ever need to sort out any problems. Its all about price OR service it seems these days as you cant always have both.
Whats happened??? Guess it was a maxi kit which is my preferred choice but never seen anyone selling it in UK. Only found someone from spain I think after searching the web. Any pics of it in one piece?
Watch what you say Bob. Would hate to think anything I say on a forum could be used in evidence blah blah blah.
Id say that I like my Renault including its french build other than the lottery you get at the local dealer. Trouble is any organisation is only as good as its people who work...
And didnt magazine tests get better 0-60 times from the mark 1 compared to the mark2??? Im sure I have seen tests comment on the difference.
Even if the mark1 or cup are quicker, you cant buy a brand new mark 1 so you either get a cup or mark 2 if you prefer all the mod cons. Having owned an...
At the end of the day its in everyones interest to keep their car running like new, hece why regular oil and coolant changes help, sparkplugs, filters etc and cleaning additives to try and help keep injectors and everything flowing like they should.
Ive used STP, Redex Injector Plus and Slick 50 and they are all good. Notice the difference once the tank of fuel/cleaner has been used as engine seems quieter and runs better. Heard it is not advisable using them too often, just when needed every 6K or so.
God knows how heavy our cars really are as you can never go by manufacturers figures. Just like 137 brake is probably optimistic as standard. False floors and ICE build will obviously add a bit. Might as well call it a tonne in weight.
Kerb weight for 16v is 975-980 Kg. Wheels may be lighter but that would not account for much, would be the same or heavier if larger wheels but then not sure if LP tyres would be lighter.
When mine was being done they took the drivers side headlight out and also the splash guard under the wheelarch. Think they wanted to take the wheel off too but Ive lost my locking wheelnut thingy. Did have teh waterpump done at the same time though!
Were lokcking wheelnuts standard on teh 16v and if so is it the same adaptor?
Mine had 4 prongs on it until I lost it, only found out when at BB they wanted the wheel off to get to the cambelt and waterpump. They had to struggle with it on!
If it is the same adaptor used on all 16v has any1...
Mine is just below 150 with BMC CDA, magnex decat and back and BB Tuning chip. Figure quoted from their RR and not at wheels so without taking it to another RR at wheels cannot say what it is.
Chip definately worthwhile as overall driveability is better but depends on whether you are gonna...
Tx levels remain constant but prices go up and down depending on crude oil production, I believe. With possibility of wart these prices will rise further.
Yeah fuel filter was missed on mine. I tend to try and do majority of accessible/easy stuff myself but would prefer to use someone who sees 16vs all the time and know what they are doing for bigger jobs. BB were good as I believe all the others mentioned.
If you read BB catalogue they...
Both BB and Ktec are cheaper but then they would be a trek from Manchester. Got mine done at BB and chipped at same time. Worth the trip if you want to get more than cambelt done.
From the way I read the ad there is no reserve. Have bought a few things of ebay so just check you can pay by paypal or something rather than sending cash. If there was a reserve price it would say reserve not met/reserve met. If you bid and win you pay up afterwards and paypal uses your...
Been happy with my Bridgestone so3s which have been on for 18 months now. Good in wet and dry and were 48 quid a corner.
Goodyear Eagle F1s are also supposed to be good and seen them for 40 quid a corner.
Whereas most metals will bend before giving way, carbon fibres tend to snap. Seen this happen in mountain biking and not nice when it is your saddle that is made out of carbon fibre and your arse when it snaps!!!!
Just used slick 50 stuff which you pour into fuel tank and fill up with petrol. £10 and it does the job. Have used STP before and also Redex but check them as some do all the fuesl system and others not. Normally shows pictures on back of pack before and after for injectors, valves etc...
HPI is definately peace of mind. 1st valver I looked at and nearly bought turned out to have a history and was reregistered. Hopefully dealer will do this but how honest are dealers and where do you stand if you later find out something.
Learning from experience NEVER trust anyone you dont...
Noticed these whilst doing a search on momo.
Closes tomorrow and 200 quid starting price instead of 500 retail. Bargain if any1 is after some good front speakers.
Its a phase 2. As Ive got a 4 day weekend might as well take the mirror off and see. Would have taken it to my local friendly Renault muppets if I could be sure theyd know what theyre doing.
Got mine in Jan 2001 too and love it to bits. It is everything I want from a car and so far not prooved too expensive. Make sure I look after it and do the majority of things myself as I have learnt from past experience that some places servicing misses things like the fuel filter.
Just had...
