Id probably send it, but if it goes from slipping a bit to slipping like fook in a few laps you will have a s**t day. Thats generally how it goes once they are done.
You might be able to risk a few more miles on the cambelt if it looks ok, its overdue now though on age.
Id defo change the aux kit though if its aircon setup. Aux belt failing sending shards of rubber into cambelt kills these engines. If its cup setup or ac delete stick a aux belt on.
Needed a bit of tlc them. I also dropped the passenger one causing even more damage 😆
Should have seen it with spare tyre in it was almost to the top with water 😂 Fcuk knows how ive not noticed it, the oe boot carpet under the large mat has mostly hidden it. It was dry a couple of months back...
Updates
Xenon upgrade done on the blue dci. I got them of @Krarl ages ago and finally got round to fitting them.
They needed a few repairs so sorted the brackets with plastic welding kit and high strength epoxy.
Repairs
Popped front off one after white clip replacement went wrong. Gas mark 2...
Updates.
Oil change for blue dci as it had done 7k since last one and currently on 196k. Weather mild enough today so cracked on. Vac pump to suck oil out via dipstick hole, filter change and 4.6ltrs of fresh 5/40 valvoline synthpower.
Vac pump ftw.
Next job was rear shock change. I had...
If the resistance of the injector is bad its end of life for it usually and a clean wont work. Genuine magnetti marelli arent too expensive, avoid any ebay ones like the plague
Should be 14 -14.5 ish on a decent one.
Sounds normal for failing injector, itll be due a set if not changed previously. If not its parts cannon plugs and leads onto it
As above have the catch tank connected to breather plate and other port open to atmosphere for performance. It will still be pulling oil fumes in if connected into inlet.
Updates
Washer jet pump packed in on the blue dci. Well i say packed in, i used the rear wash/wipe and it squirted the rear window and then refused to do the front just rear regardless of selection. Ive had this issue before and usually sorts itself out flicking between front and rear a few...
Part of the motor is missing that the wiring plugs into, see pic below.
Its either been ripped off by accident or due to wiper going all the time due to faulty uch. Only one way to find out
Uch is the body computer. It basically runs everything.

Stereo out and a few screws to get the heater control panel out. Its...
Washer pump prob knackered.
Rear wiper motor poss disconnected due to staying on all the time due to uch issues. Uch easy fix via dieselpumpspecialist on ebay. If connected/us i would get uch repaired and next step change wiper motor if wiring checks out ok.
Bulbs popped in heater controls.
Updates.
Orange clio is in for mot on Monday so give it a once over. All looked ok apart from front discs and pads. Still legal but had seen better days as been on since 2019/god knows how manu miles. Not expensive so stuck a set on, napa brand from local motorfactors.
Assume position
Clean...
Injector on its way maybe. Had similar on my old 172 kangoo just before one failed.
I would also get fuel pressure checked, if its original fuel pump it might be tired.
Done a good job on the box thats scrap 😆
No hpas lines makes subframe drop nice and easy. Need to do my trophy soon and itll be same engine and box drop to save wrestling the ndo box in situ.
Updates.
Cheap engine mount on orange dci turned out to be horrendous for vibration so got a gates branded one. Fitted and business as usual.
Both had a well needed wash over xmas. Finished with a coat of BH touch on for a bit of easy winter protection.
Clean
Blue clio hasnt done many...
Quick update
R26 not really moved apart from a couple of local runs out due to leaking water pump/cambelt job due imminently.
I have all the parts ready to go, just waiting for my snap on torque wrench to come back from repair. Hopefully be back mid Jan so can crack on and get that sorted...
