Map sensor vac readings on idle are usually off if cam timing is out. Im sure mine was around 400mbar on idle when correct.
Its hard to tell in the vids but doesnt look too bad. F4r is not really refined
Can probably redrill the twingo block to suit jb and use a custom clutch and poss custom shafts.
Basically a load of aggro, be better off selling the jb and buying a lsd for the jr5
Not worth messing on with in all honestly. The doorcards also rattle once you fix the cover rattling.
Underseat sub is a better upgrade with a good head unit.
All oem speakers are wired per channel and there is no crossover on the rears.
Stock head unit is also shite. A good aftermarket stereo vastly improves sound quality overall.
I actually think its the location/sound deadening at the rear. On my dci it was not specced with rear speakers so did...
Recaros look spot on. I have the recaro sportster cs fitted to my trophy with the larger lower bolsters and still very easy to get in and out of with the jon foz frames.
@hopmade some replica trophy leather seatbelt tensioner covers a while back, would finish it off the install nicely.
Picked up Mot. 1515 seem gauge off ebay for checking belt tension. £500+ new mine for £40 delivered.
Another tool to go in the cupboard of random s**t thats rarely used, but will no doubt come in handy at some point in the future
I know somebody who destroked an f4r to 1.8 using a f7p or volvo crank from memory.
Totally different setup as the engine was turbo but you could maybe look to see If that could work for you.
Also had a nice reminder of the tour a couple of days ago. On the outward journey on the Friday to the ferry time was cracking on, met up just outside the Tyne tunnel. Went through the tunnel and got on boat and forgot to pay.
£32 for the priviledge!
On that note. Meg has not moved since the...
Day 3 - Nurburgring
Woke up to a cold and foggy Belgium. 0deg again! Continental breakfast and en route.
Fresh
Set off and fog soon cleared when on motorway. Spa to Nurburgring drive was uneventful and steady 1hr40 so arrived in no time.
First stop in Adenau
There was a rally on and the...
Been looking at buying one of these myself and good to hear they work well.
The branded ones used to be expensive at one point and eezibleed was the cheaper alternative. To be fair ive used my eezibleed loads of times over the years without issue. They have changed the design slightly recently...
Day 2 - Spa
Woke up to a fresh day and fog! Continental breakfast and away we go
Fresh
5 min drive to the circuit and sign on and get set up in the garage unloading all of the gear before sighting laps
Renault F1 team
M2 imposter.
As the weather was cold and 1deg or so ambient temps...
Air in the diesel pipes is pretty normal from experience. I had same conk out and mine was high leakoff on 1x injector. The high leakoff also caused lots of air in the system. Do a leakoff test.
Updates. Euro trip done!
On the run up to Spa, i had packed the car with gear in prep and had planned an easy week at work. As expected work was supersonic until the end and it was a case of chuck the remaining stuff in the car and go!
Essentials
Cleaned and fuelled up.
Steady drive down...
Binned all my dvds a while back as i dont have a dvd player anymore. Kept the cd collection though as i have a badass old skool technics separate amp and cd player in the garage. Sound quality of cd is loads better than via bluetooth streaming on the aux off soundcloud etc, no shitty adverts too
Diesel filter might be fucked if not changed for donkeys. Prime it up with hand primer if it has one and see if itll fire.
Id imagine its reporting low fuel pressure on diagnostics, check fuel pressure when cranking, need 250bar so the injectors open. Bit of sniff to fire it up and leakoff test...
