Kangoo 1.4 fuel pump

Evening all, first post. Been watching from the sidelines for a while. I want to replace my vans fuel pump. Purchased a second hand one from a van being broken up. I’d like t fit a new Bosch universal pump to the housing. How do I remove the base to get access to the pump? Did a few searches with no luck. Pic attached is of the unit I bought. Thanks in advance.

The sender has a non replaceable filter inside id be tempted to change the full unit with it being that colour, its prob well past its best, new full aftermarket sender not expensive.

If you really want to change the pump you need to take the bottom basket off. If you lever it off with a screwdriver they always break, best way ive found is to hit this edge with a block of wood, pops it off no damage.

@Brigsy, thank you for your response. Based in South Africa, any parts for a Renault are expensive, even the aftermarket stuff. I’ve searched for a Kangoo pump aftermarket and cannot find one, only for other Renault models. From my research, only option would be the agents and that is Crazy prices (R8500 = £350). I’ll give it a bash, no pun intended 😁. The universal Bosch pump comes with screen and costs around £27.

Oem renault pump is similar price new over here, very expensive. Id just fit the fuel pump if no aftermarket availability in SA, it will go again. Maybe ultrsonically clean the sender if you have access to one.

Is it a mk2 kangoo same as my compact? Megane 2 pump/sender is identical if you have access to one of them. I run megane sender in mine.
