Who's in?
Get the voucher bought, I can then organise a date convenient to all.
Saturdays are NOT an option thoguh.
Leave the standard speakers in place, just update your headunit and get a 1/2 decent sub.
Use the filters in the HU to cut bass to the speakers and you'll find they're actually not bad.
Personally, I don['t trust myself with car electrics so I got my sub wired in by the garage, I'm sure it...
I'm not a big fan of exposed exhausts on 172s unless they're cut into the bumper TBF. But you like it, so that's the main thing.
And if you've actually done the 'ring then kudos, you've earnt that sticker :)
go ducktail then fella, I don't like them much but it's not my car so... well, nuts to me! :)
If I go '5 instead of Barge in November, I'll be trying to hunt out the metal-strutted wing, but first things first, I'll need a 2005 Icon with Aircon :(
I hear you matey, but unles you never park in public again after the work is done, yhow many tears will be shed when you get another wang in your door?
It's why I haven't bothered spraying my 172
Good man, it'll look pretty tasty :)
Just avoid adding those fog-light-warts.
Still can't find a pic of the other Mazda wing to show you what I mean, but it could well look a bit daft anyway.
Which set of lowz kit are you thinking of BTW?
But no point doing the speakers unless you get a mew head unit.
then you'll need to we-wire cross-overs in too if you keep components.
and THAT , from what I understand, is a dash-off job :(
Don't like:-
The yellow/faux carebon colour scheme
How the gauges are on the wonk
Cheap looking gauges
Although these could all just be because of the photo.
What I do like:-
The idea in principle
You've tried something different
In balance, good man
Don't know if I'd agree with ducktail. if it's all about keeping the car smooth, I'd say either nothing or that curvy spoiler like on the Autotrader ad I posted up.
Mind, it's not my car, you know what you're doing.
EFA
Is that a mad-dog roll-bar set?
Wow, that final photo reminds me of when a mate of mine got his Mk.1
I had a black Mk.2 with black caterham-esque wheels, he had a 1.8 Mk.1 with the original wheels.
They were good days.
Seriously needs the OEM front splitter/dam though, what with already...
please excuse the multitude of typos but...

You can get a steering-control adaptor for most headunits worth having. More of a concern is the dash-top pod will be 90% dead if you change HU, this too
can be remedied by the right cable for the job, but which one is a tought job to ascertain.
I'd suggest an Alpine head unit and not the...
There is a guide, but it requires you to be a fully paid-up member.
If you're keeping the OEM headunit, no amount of tinkering or replacement speakers will get decent quality output. Change the head unit first, then get a small sub and cut low frequencies to the OEM speakers.
works fine for me
