Undo the Torx T20 screw at the back of the plastic rail cover on each side of the seat.
Undo the 13mm nuts that hold the slide rails to seat base. There are three on the tunnel side and two on the door side.

Would recommend you take the pins out of the calipers before you paint them, from just looking at the calipers I think you may have a challenge. A suitable punch and a big hammer (@jaswalker24 - what hammer would you advise 😂😂) should do it...

Proplates have actually stopped making the thin and flimsy plates as above. They are now made of High Impact ABS acrylic, 4-5 mm thick, BSAU 14d Class A, reflective, 3M glue. This is exactly the same as normal number plate thickness.

You will need to give them a good work out, and bleed them , will probably need to do this a few times.
Other alternative is to use Clip to open the ABS whilst you bleed.

Is it possible to take it off or does the engine or gearbox sit on it. Will also be changing wishbones and pretty much everything in the front arches.
