yeah, unfortunately I dont believe you can simply swap normal and cup suspension easily.
I dont know about the merits of different springs. But I'd have thought, at an equal price point, a set of fixed springs & dampers would be better quality than coilovers.
Although there is the blue-sky...
you can get a low & hard riding car, but that's not to be confused with "better handling".
Suspension travel and compliance is a good thing.
Besides, for the sake of a "few track days", do you really want to have the car painfully uncomfartable and impractical "in the real"?
If it's purely a...
PHEW!
I getcha.
If those Spax ones are as previous post mentioned, they sound like a good compromise. No sense building a track-biased motor if you need to be able to negotiate potholes, snow drifts etc.
Not all of them though! :)
I agree that good vinyls can add individuality and character. But, much like a boggo Supra with a honking great dragon plastered up the side, there are limits.
Of course, I'm biased. After seeing plenty of black 172's I sometimes think "y'kno what, these set the car...
As a driver of a stripey clio, I can say that some vinyl can be a good thing.
If I was to buy your car now, I'd probably keep the flag motifs, but lose the "Clio 197" bit.
How much speed do you actually want to try and carry around country roads?
Personally I see no sense in modifying a car to be a road-warrior, the driver builds a sense of confidence in their new handling (whether it's a true gain or not) only to go around that blind bend 15mph faster and come...
No probs.
The "replica" look is very popular, although it needs more than just some bumpers, there's new wings and some sort of geometry issues to contend with IIRC.
I'm guessing you are thinking of the twin-exit exhaust? That's from the 182 clio. Irrespective, it wont sound "nice", just...
Image link failed fella.
Ultimately, the standard line on these matters is to:-
Colour code black plastic
Lower (springs, coilovers if you're desperate to spend money and have no respect for your spine)
The Clio R.S. grille
"Silverline" bulbs
No sense in spending money on performance mods...
Are you after looks over comfort?
Do you want to lower more than springs will allow?
For road use, I'd have thought a set of springs over a good set of OEM dampers would be the best compromise.
Opinions are divided on the subject though, as all the above proves.
If the M6 Toll was delimited for a fortnight, that would cause almost certainly cause enough destruction to prove that the typical UK driver (in particular the younger ones) cannot, in the main, be trusted to work within the limits of skill or equipment.
In fact, give it 48 hours and you'll see...
total dreamland idea, it wont happen.
There's enough crying about having a couple of wind turbines within 30 miles of peoples houses, imagine the uproar if some company put in for permission to build a 20-mile racing circuit, most likely across brown-land, which will almost invariably be within...
it's got the extra skirts (wasn't that a £1k dealer option?).
In fairness, if I was on the market for one, I'd certainly have a look.*
Full leather, full bodytrimmings, white on black rims. Yep, very nice.
*: If there wasn't any LY R27's about anyway
Watching ROC :)
5 on the bounce for Germany. Even after Schumacher loses to Petrov!
Good shout for Brands, I'll see what they're saying. I was thinking all that there'll be is motorcross (or whatever it is, you know, 1/2 tarmac, 1/2 mud)
if you want to avoid a lot of rewiring, either of these.

or, slightly better (so I'm told)

Dotn know anything about these ones...
Blind eye Pro + Stinger / Javelin.
Last night I played as a true and proper candy-ass.
Blind eye pro, asassin pro, dead quiet (?). P90, rapid fire & silenced and that rapid-fire grenade launcher.
Got some great results, but felt too much like cheating
on the Playstation network there's a few gems in "classics" and "imports" to go for.
the imports are generally vertically-scrolling shooters (awesome).
classics are as suggested, old titles, PS1 style
the turtle wax black polish stuff? Or the thick polish in a squeezy tube (like toothpaste?).
I use both of them and a chip stick on a door scratch and it does help, haven't tried on the bonnet yet, no sense washing the car just to drive 500 yards to be caked in crud again! :)
