If you want to get the stereo remote display working, phone up an Alpine rep and they can order the right lead, there's 2 different leads, they'll display some info and have the stalk-controls covered too.
I've got a 9884, the iPod lead and that cable. can't fault it.
I've wondered about...
Steviet:
Is that the Twingo GT engine? What kind of output could that put out, I've seen 120bhp from just a chip, but can another 100 come out of it?
Would the smaller engine mean the handling could be improved too?
Isn't there an offiicial Renaultsport bodykit for the 197?
I remember it being on the option list when I was pricing one up a few months back.
Just wondered
a tankful, used in a split between driving miss daisy and driving like a loon will give me mid-30's MPG.
On a recent hack from South linolnshire to West London via the M1 I got over 45 to the G, courtesy of not being in a rush, but that was with air con going full tilt.
V-Power, it's nectar
bad luck there geez.
if the council really did clean the road, and there were 3 crashes there in 20 minutes, this should be told to your insurers, regardless of what the Police had to say.
Any of the Mk.2 Clio's will make a Fiesta ST look feeble.
If you want something with moderate comfort, dont bother with anything 'cup' related, although the spoiler pack for 182's is worth a look.....oh, and those recaros are smart, but do they then mean any rear-passngers need to have amputations?
Anyone recommend someone to do retrims on 172 seats?
drivers' seat is looking like it's starting to fray, maybe a de-boble will help, but only leaving less material afterwards?
After stepping from the comaraderie of MX-5's, I find that most RS drivers fit in the below categories
1) ambivalent girls: doing a steady 55 everywhere, then into the nearest bollard
2) acne-ridden fools: Spending ridiculous sums on insurance, just to do laps of Tesco car-park
3) Angry...
I took my 172 to an independant to do the belt. They seemed confident in the job until they actually strarted on it, where they then found the job a lot harder than they expected.
Thankfully, they just ran me to say they couldn't do it. Meant I had to go to Renault for them to do the job, which...
Thanks Sir Dave
I've not driven a cup, but judging by typical French build quality I'm happy to have the more compliant model.
So many people worry about 0-60 shavings and marginal g-loading improvements but, seriously, going to work and back, how often do you notice the extra performance...
full fat 182 with cup pack, job done.
Although as many have said before, unless you drive on the door handles every mile of the road, will you really notice the difference? aside from the quicker-forming rattles and squeaks?
more pronounced aero package, that's what's needed.....without becoming a VXR though!
Mind, with the recent F1 hubbub, hows about a double-decker rear diffuser...even if the upper layer is purely aesthetic (as most manufacturers' rear aero is!)
