Locking the wheels might be posible in both cars, but I'm sure your aware that locking the wheels to stop is NOT the quickest way to stop a car. When braking as quickly as possible you also have to look at things like the heat build up that occours which will have an effect on stopping distance...

Getting some overtime in this weekend, might get some on the 29th also but will have to see how much I get done this weekend!
I wonder if the car was flood damaged in its past? That could explain why there is grit inside blocking it all the time. I remember when I was looking for a 172 and came across one that had rust stains on the side skirts (amongst other issues) I didn't stay there long lol
Going by your other threads I would still say the battery being on it's way out is a likely cause. Have you looked at it yet or tried another?
Surly if it was just the fuse going then it wouldn't work at all until that fuse was replaced??
Might as well put my self on the list on the off chance something happens.

Demist button will put the fan on full with air con on and start working straight away. Still quicker to use a cloth but it's good if the mist comes back on the move.
The CC kicks in from the start a bit and as the temp rises the fans get quicker.
A week before my battery died the other day the fan packed in. New battery and it worked again. It might be worth disconecting the battery and/or trying a different one.

As i said in the other thread wish I hadn't let it get too hot:dapprove:.
My fan packed in last week. Then the battery went last night, got a new one and the fan works fine again. Might be worth just disconnecting the battery or trying another and seeing if that helps.
